My Dog Listens LLC

We used the board and train program for our golden puppy and were very impressed with our trainer, Sara. After going through the program, our pup has done wonderfully! He now walks properly on a leash, takes direction, and can be trusted a lot more around the house. We got updates every 3 days which detailed what he was working on, how it was going, and pictures/videos. On pickup day, we spent a couple hours running through everything that he's learned and having Sara train us on what we needed to do going forward to reinforce, practice, and maintain his skills. Overall great experience working with MDL.

The evening before we are leaving to go out of town they canceled our boarding arrangements. We needed someone to watch one of our German Shepherds while we went out of town. The lady on the phone said we would need to take our dog out to their facility in Nokesville. After we had gotten everything set and ready for our trip, we noticed she hadn't given us an address for the other location to drop off our dog. Kind of odd but no worries. We tried to find an address online but came up with nothing and no mention of a Nokesville location for them. My wife tried to contact them with no success but finally heard back late in the evening as we were waiting for the address and all packed up ready to go. We didn't get an address from her, instead she told us they couldn't watch her now because they had an emergency and couldn't take our dog. What were they going to do with all the other dogs they were watching now? What kind of place is this? So now, the night before we leave the next morning we have no one and no way to find an alternative. This is a terrible position to put someone in. Our only solution is to cancel a trip we had been planing since December, the night before. The only vacation our family has had in the past 4 years. Thanks for everything.

Our 5 month old Great Dane just went through a 3 week board-and-train at MDL with trainer Jonathan. We are beyond impressed with the skills he has learned and the behavior improvement he’s exhibiting!! Working with Jonathan was great; he was helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He gave us pictures/updates along the way and provided us with the tools to continue working with him at home. I can not recommend this company, and Jonathan himself, enough!
