My EPIC Dog - Human and Dog Training

We rescued our puppy Spud from a local shelter and within a few months we realized that he needed an elevated level of training. We are long time dog owners and felt we were experienced enough but Spud was a challenge. It was quite clear that he loved us and of course, we loved him, however his behavior, energy, and some bad habits were just unacceptable. We even considered that we may have to re-home him! An unthinkable situation! We reached out to Judith with my epic dog training after having read some very positive reviews. We did an initial visit with Judith and discussed our issues, the worst of which was Spuds jumping, clawing, etc..Spud is a 60lb dog and we have a granddaughter that visits. This was just unacceptable. After consulting with Judith, we decided on a plan of action that included 5 in home training sessions with Spud. Right away we could tell a difference in his behavior! After the first session we were making progress and after the second, we actually remarked, “there is a good dog in there”! We have completed all of the sessions now and we are so happy to say that we would never consider re-homing him now! Our dog Oso was very aggressive towards men and other dogs, would pull and overreact when on a leash, and would not stop watching those around us when on walks or in public. He hired Judith to help us with Oso’s reactive tendencies and are so happy we did! Judith worked with us on how to create a better, more confident situation for Oso to shine in. We signed up for her 8 week training program and can’t believe the improvement we have seen. We are so happy with Oso’s personality shining through and his confidence while out in public. Judith is a treasure and while we are happy to no longer “need” her services, we will truly miss her.

I highly recommend Judith. I hired her to work with our 6 month old Goldendoodle who was struggling with potty training & overall obedience. She provided a comprehensive e-book along with hands on training & was always very responsive to any questions or concerns I had in between lessons. During our time with Judith she assisted in tips that led to our pup being fully potty trained, helped remedy anxiety related to crate training, worked on leash training & helped him become a more patient & overall more well behaved pet.

I hired Judith because my dogs were being reactive to other dogs when on a leash during our morning walks. Judith showed me simple exercises to practice with them to make them focus on me and not the distractions. This morning we passed two dogs where they showed only remote interest -no barking, growling or lunging - AND we passed within 6 feet of a cat that was just sitting on the curb, and they did so great! They whined a little bit but otherwise kept right on going and I rewarded them the second they looked away from the cat. Walking them is so much more enjoyable now and I will definitely use these services again when I adopt my next dog so that we can get it right from the beginning.
