Nashville K-9

Nashville K-9 recently had our 9 month old sheepadoodle for a 3week board and stay. He’s a big bundle of energy and curiosity and was outsmarting us with training we had completed at the pet store. With a dog so large it was important to me that we found a program that did not use e-collars and that the training would stick. We received picture updates twice a week and loved seeing his progress. On graduation day he looked like a miniature show pony as the trainers demoed his new skills and trained us on how to continue development at home. Our kids (7&13) can walk him on a leash, give commands and he listens to them. We have learned alot about what we can change at home to make him more successful as well. I was impressed with how easy it was to communicate with their team via email and the responses were very fast. We met the trainers the first day and on graduation day as well and it felt like this was a personalized training program just for us. We were the sole focus of their team while we were there. Our buddy was having a hard time eating and recently got very picky. They even tried out different wet foods, yogurt, cottage cheese and sardines to see what he liked. Their website truly does not do this facility justice. It is designed unlike any place I’ve seen before. They have training arena, smell proof room, store fronts and a bedroom/living room/ kitchen to simulate real environments. They even have strollers, wheelchairs, etc. to tailor each family’s needs. Walter got to go offsite to parks, a ballfield and sidewalks and crosswalks. They have even placed different flooring textures throughout the training space to see how the dogs react to various surfaces. We were able to purchase a new training collar and leash before we left which made transitioning home even easier. We are very pleased with this company and if you are looking for a place that has thought of everything and more- look no further.

I can’t say enough about Nashville K9 and what they have done for our family and our dog, Rooster. They have worked with him twice now and it definitely says something if you are willing to return your dog for a second round of more intensive training after already having completed 3 weeks of board and train. Rooster is going to be upwards of 180 pounds and so we clearly wanted some good obedience training and their team accomplished that like it was nothing. Our initial conversation with Ali sealed the deal and then Katie’s constant communication and warm disposition made us feel so well taken care of. They made us feel like we were their only client. The twice weekly updates (and more if needed) were so helpful when we were missing our boy. Raine and Mariah are both dog whisperers and worked so well with Rooster! The video of everything they taught him on top of the full training we received when we returned to pick him up were above and beyond anything I’ve seen. They were rollerblading, pushing strollers, and vacuuming all while Rooster laid there waiting for Raine’s commands. They even watched his health so closely for us. They noticed a tiny bit of redness in one of his ears and immediately helped us diagnose with our vets that it was a brewing ear infection so we could get meds quickly without interrupting training. Their willingness to accommodate our crazy mixed food diet as well as allergy meds as if it was no big deal was so comforting. Their facility is absolutely state of the art on another level. You wouldn’t even know there were dogs there, it’s spotless. The setup is so impressive and their professionalism and attention to your pet is unlike any place else. We can’t thank Nashville K9 enough!!!!

It's been a year since our two beagles, Teddy and Toby, graduated from training. So happy we took them to Nashville K-9. They were both rescues with no social skills. Since graduating we now have two dogs we can walk normally outside. We've taught them some other commands which they picked up quickly. More importantly we learned how to be better dog parents and understand better how they learn and respond. We don't do everything that they learned at school but a lot of the things we do regularly and it makes walks so much less stressful and easier. The cost seemed high initially but they were boarded and trained for three weeks. Looking back it was well worth the price. We have normal obidient beagles that are well behaved and understand how they're supposed to act. Couldn't be happier with them, all because of their trainers at Nashville K-9

We just picked up Luca after his 3-week board and train, and I can’t say enough good things about Nashville K-9! Raine and Mariah were kind, patient, and so helpful with all my questions — they really boosted my confidence, even though Luca is my third pup to go through training with them. Honestly, all the staff were great, and the weekly photo updates always brought a smile to our faces. The new facility is incredible, and it’s genuinely my privilege to drive two hours each way for the quality, attention, and care this staff provides. A special shout-out to Ali, the Training Director, who still takes the time to remember each of my dogs’ and my journey over the years. He always makes it a point to say hello, answer questions, and make scheduling and billing effortless. I highly recommend this team and everything Nashville K-9 has to offer families who want to build a successful life, and a lifetime of memories, with their dog.
