Nate has been so wonderful with our pups, and a pleasure to work with! It was clear from our first interaction that he truly understands dog behavior. We have a Bernese mountain dog/poodle mix who’s 4 and a German shepherd/husky mix who’s 3.5. Our pups had started getting into fights with each other, and we didn’t know what to do. Nate’s training has helped us establish the structure our dogs needed and has restored peace in our home; they haven’t gotten into a single fight since we begun working with Nate. They are walking much better on the leash, and overall seem much happier now. Nate was always very understanding and patient with our GSD who gets nervous around strangers. Overall it has been a great experience, and it’s nice to know that we have a resource going forward should we need help with our pups again in the future. Thank you for everything, Nate!

Nate Dog Training has been an absolute game-changer for us and our furry friend, Otter! Four months ago, my girlfriend and I welcomed a wonderful 3 1/2-year-old Border Collie/English Springer Spaniel mix named Otter into our lives. We recently adopted a 4-year-old cattle dog mix, Gravy. We’d had shelter dogs before but Gravy was way more skittish and after a few weeks we started to see anxious behavioral issues surfacing. We are so glad we called Nate, and just in time. He helped us set up the structure we were missing and gave us tools and management techniques that were easy to understand and put us on the right path immediately. Very cool to see a bunch of seemingly separate issues resolve just from implementing better boundaries. Honestly each session felt transformative for us and we couldn’t wait until the next one. Gravy is doing really great. He’s learning to settle on his own and knows where to go and what’s expected of him. Every shelter dog is a bit of a mixed bag and we are really glad we had Nate to help us understand Gravy better and to give us the confidence to tackle any issues. Looking back, we wish we could have worked with Nate with our previous pups too. I know we’ll be calling him again once we’re ready to adopt a second dog.

Nate is a professional who knows his dogs. We have a 10 month old Great Pyrenees mix - he's a small pony and behaves like it, too. We called Nate, not only because he's so big and strong but, he was being aggressive (loudly correcting) with our older, much smaller, dog. We wanted to curb that behavior before he went too far and hurt another dog. With Nate's help, we realized the issues we saw were a result of us not being in charge. Our puppy had decided it was his job to keep everybody in line. Understanding that helped us step up and give our sweet Pup the strong guidance he needs to be a calm, cherished member of our pack. Every day is another opportunity for us to train him into the great friend he really wants to be. We chose Nate because that's the name of our son. Best decision ever.
