Nebraska K9 training Academy

We took our 3 year old Australian Shepherd to NK9 Training Academy and enrolled him in the Level 1 Leash Obedience board & train package. Po was having difficulties with fear aggression and within the first 3 days of his training he was already making progress. Caleb is a great trainer and human! He knows what he is doing, creates a safe and comfortable environment for every dog, animal, and person who comes to the facility. I highly recommend taking your pet here if you are having any issues.. I promise Caleb can correct it.

Nico had no leash manners, a bite history, and was reactive toward both people and other dogs, which made the initial days very challenging. I contacted Caleb and Sydney for a behavior evaluation, and from the first conversation, Caleb’s expertise and understanding of our unique situation stood out. He made time to evaluate Nico before our foster-to-adopt trial ended, which was crucial in helping us decide whether Nico would be able to live peacefully in our home. Other dogs under his care are learning sport and working skills like Shutzhund and tracking. I especially appreciated the way Caleb adapted his approach to match Nico’s sensitivity and stubbornness, using positive reinforcement as much as possible but also knowing when to apply firm structure when needed. The flexibility and range of training options were perfect for us. We opted for 10 weeks of private lessons, but NE K9 offers everything from board and train programs to group sessions. Caleb is extremely accommodating with scheduling, often meeting us at their beautiful rural facility, in local stores, and at our home. Every session is tailored to a specific goal, like vet handling, introductions to our other pets (two cats and a rabbit), off-leash obedience, or car crate training. One of the standout features of NE K9 Training Academy is their multi-format approach to client support. Caleb and Sydney are active on social media, respond promptly through email, text, and calls, and even host a private Facebook group where clients can interact and share their experiences. They're also very enthusiastic about reviewing clients' home training videos, offering helpful feedback and guidance between sessions. This level of involvement makes the training feel like a continuous, supportive process. Beyond Nico’s progress, Caleb’s guidance helped my partner, Davis, gain confidence as a handler—a major goal for us. Caleb took the time to adjust the training based on our comfort levels and goals, providing clear explanations of techniques and theory along the way. His ability to work with a range of breeds and temperaments was evident, and he's willing and able to adapt his approach for other clients to meet their preferences with clear expectations set on what sort of results they can expect in a given timeframe. My dog has been trained by Caleb since he was four months old, the boarding and training program is amazing. The boarding and training program is well worth the price and I am really satisfied after the end of program. I can guarantee that Caleb's dog training expertise is above 95% of the another dog trainers in Nebraska but the price is much affordable than the others. I have recommended my friend come to Caleb’s place for training their dogs. Caleb not only offers the pet training service such like train your dog pass the Canine Good Citizen(CGC), but also Caleb offers protection training or other sport dog training service if anyone interested in working with their dogs for Schutzhund aka IGP.

Caleb is a dedicated and responsible dog trainer! My male GSD, Apollo, used to have reactivity issues; he would get overly excited about strange dogs. Apollo was also very anxious in the car and would bark easily. Caleb quickly helped me resolve these problems. He truly loves dogs, understands them, and empathizes with owners who feel helpless when dealing with these problems.
