My family and I brought Wolfy home as a rescue. She came out of a Texas breeding operation where 88 German Shepherds were seized in a case that made national news, Big Dog Ranch Rescue brought them to Florida. Conditions there were deplorable, and as you'd expect, Wolfy came to us with some issues that needed working out. After doing my research, I chose Newton Pack Dog Training. What sold me was the approach: it isn't one-size-fits-all, and Logan genuinely knows and understands dogs. He also uses his own pack to help socialize the dogs he works with, which I thought would be a big deal for a dog like Wolfy. We just finished a four-week program and I couldn't be happier. Logan established a baseline with Wolfy and, just as importantly, educated me on her behavior so I can keep the work going at home. If you have a dog that needs more than a cookie-cutter obedience class, I'd point you to Logan without hesitation.

Logan has transformed our family. We introduced a rottweiler puppy to our family this year - having a 10 year old golden retriever and a 6 year old rottweiler. It changed the dynamics of our household and we started facing some serious problems. Our middle child's reactiveness started progressing for the worse. We connected with Logan who didn't fear the situation but rather embraced it with a strategic plan and a 4 week board and train. Our middle child came back transformed. Of course we continuously have to work with all three of our dogs, but Logan gave us the tools and knowledge we needed. Our puppy is approaching 8 months now and will be starting with Logan this summer. It is a breath of fresh air to see our baby making the right choices. We couldn't thank you enough, Logan & Family!

First: let me introduce the client, Corduroy. Corduroy is an 8 year old schnauzer mix who I rescued from a pound when he was 2 years old. When I got him, he had lived in the pound his entire life and had never been groomed, and apparently had never been bathed, brushed, played with, or bonded really with any human. As you can imagine this resulted in a lot of less than ideal behaviors in corduroy. He has a lot of “learned aggression” where he knows if he does not want to do something, he can get aggressive and snarl, lunge, or even bite and that will make us stop. He also had a major problem with resource guarding, leash reactivity, behavior around other dogs, and behavior around people. Over the last 6 years I have tried everything I could to improve these behaviors, but the results were minimal. When I brought corduroy to Logan he could not wear a harness, have a collar put on him, he could not be brushed, and you could not touch his paws, armpits, legs, tail, or stomach. Additionally he had to be completely separated from one of our other dogs because every time they were around each other, corduroy would lash out. When we first met Logan corduroy was so nervous, he was shaking like a leaf, drooling, his eyes were bloodshot, and he couldn’t focus on anything, all because he was in a new environment. after our initial meeting Logan recommended a 4 week board and train program that would help with his behaviors. Logan was very upfront about what we could expect, due to his age and how behaviors. The following week we dropped him off, and planned a follow up lesson at his facility for exactly one week later. I won’t sugar coat it, the first week was incredibly stressful I think for everyone, corduroy attempted to attack Logan, and it became clear this was going to be a much bigger undertaking. Logan is very direct, he does not beat around the bush, and he is very serious about dog behavior. This at first was difficult for us to hear just how bad corduroy was, however Logan assured us he would not give up. At our first scheduled visit we brought the other dogs, and immediately we noticed major changes in corduroy. He was walking with Logan directly next to him, not pulling, and Logan even managed to get a prong collar on him! I was expecting to see a sad dog who thought he was being abandoned, but corduroy was happy, confident, and smiling, he was living his best life! But the surprises didn’t stop there. When we went inside Logan showed us that corduroy could now complete an indoor agility course, and he knew basic commands and followed them readily. And then something amazing happened… corduroy began playing with our other dog! The same one that could not even be in the same room as him!! We truly could not believe this. Over the next 3 weeks we received updates about corduroy’s progress upon request, however it is importsnt to note that Logan works incredibly long hours with all of these dogs, so he cannot always reply immediately, this was not a problem for us and he was always available to answer questions when we had them. 4 weeks later when Logan came to Our house to drop corduroy off it truly seemed like he swapped him out with a look alike. There was zero tension with any of our other dogs, and corduroy was happy and confident. Over the course of the next few days the surprises continued. Corduroy, the dog who has to get put under general anesthesia to be groomed and has not had a bath in 2 years allowed me to bathe, blow dry, and brush him out! He was clearly nervous throughout but we took our time and he showed almost no aggression. Words cannot describe how truly transformed this dog is. He is happy, confident, obedient, and in general just an amazing dog. Before coming to Logan we had serious conversations about rehoming corduroy and what his future would hold, but now Logan has given corduroy a second chance at life, and shown us just how good he can be. My only regret is not doing this sooner!
