I contacted Next-Door K9 Solutions seeking assistance with some aggressive reactive issues my dog was showing. Zach Barkley the trainer, was very helpful in explaining the potential causes of the issues. I enrolled my dog in the 4 week boarding training. Zach came to my house to pickup my dog at which time I was able to show Zach my dog’s living quarters and explain my dog’s daily routine. After the four weeks, my dog had an excellent command of basic obedience commands … I was totally impressed. I was given regular text and video updates during the four weeks to see how he was progressing. I was able to provide feedback and re-emphasize the concerns of my dog’s issues. Long story short ….. a good command of basic obedience is necessary to be able to address unwanted behavioral issues. Zach worked with me on playing through certain situations and how to correct my dog in a positive way using various training tools. I feel comfortable and more confident on how to handle my dog when he becomes reactive in certain situations. Most importantly it is comforting to know that Zach continues to be available for training advice as I work towards making my dog a better next door K9. Thank you Zach.

Zack is amazing! We sent him our very strong willed 7 month old Klee Kai and he came back to us so much more well behaved and more trustworthy. Beyond working on basic commands that will help keep him safe, Zack worked on manners and socialization extensively. Captain threw him a few curve balls but Zack always had a solution and was sure to communicate through the whole process to ensure we knew what was going on every step of the way. When Captain came home we were even given some pointers to mitigate some unwanted behaviors in our older Klee Kai also! Zack truly cares for these dogs like they are his own, beyond the results I was thrilled to see the bond that developed between him and our boy, we could not be happier with our experience and will be sure to go back to Zack again with any concerns!

We rescued a dog which was abandoned about a year ago. She was approximately a year old at the time. We named her Ellie Mae AKA the beast do to her size lol. She needed some training so I did a search and found nextdoork9solutions which is also veteran owned buisness. She was with the trainer Zack who she stayed with for four weeks. When she got back Zack went through everything with my wife and I on all the commands and showed us how well she now listens and what she has learned. While she was being trained he sent us up dates and videos to show her progress. She is now a different dog who is no longer the beast but just sweet Ellie Mae lol. I like to take a second to recognise Zack the owner Of Next Door K9 Solutions. Our Pup was starting to get aggressive, possessive and not able to be controlled . Training was 💯 needed. I sent my pup to two other training locations which helped to an extent, however the structure was not there, nor was control. I reached out to NDK9S and briefly explained the situation with our Pup. His aggression increased substantially and I was concerned for the safety of my kid and visitors. Needless to say our Pup was boarded and after a month’s time frame our pup returned to us with a new outlook. Zack did an exceptional job with our Cane Corso. Zack was able to spend sometime with us to help us better understand how to properly correct our pup. He was also able to go through proper training techniques. Something that we will continue to use as long as we can, as this particular breed requires it. We are very happy with the results. Don’t just take my word for it, give him a shout. He has a great background in training various canines. One thing I did fail to Mention is that Zack stands behind his work and he is there for any concerns or follow up questions you might have. Zach Barkley is amazing! Our Vizsla puppy did not respond to traditional training despite our efforts. He was constantly jumping on us, very mouthy (biting) and did not listen. Before making the decision to look into a board and train option, we took him to puppy training which was marginally helpful, tried puppy day care 2 half days /week which made him more hyper, and we're pretty much at our wits end by the time he was 5-6 months old. We are so fortunate that we landed on Next-Door K9 Solutions of Eastern NC and had Zach as our trainer. We sent our pup to board and train with Zach and he came back a new dog! When our dog came home Zach took the time to teach us the methods, explain the how and the why and observed our working with our dog to ensure we were comfortable and understood how to use the tools. Zach is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. Zach sincerely cares about the dogs and their owners. Training is not one and done. Zach checks in with us periodically which is a comfort and continues to help us learn how to work with our particular dog and breed. Thanks to Zach our dog is maturing into the family pet we were hoping for. We are truly appreciative and thankful for Zach's expertise and guidance and our dog absolutely adores Zach!
