Blades was born timid and afraid. Sweet in the house. But as he hit 1 years old he became out of control on the leash. Pulling. Not caring. He had stranger danger and reactive to other dogs. He didn’t like being out of his comfort zone. He also has been in doggy daycare since 4 months. So he has plenty of people and socialized. But we saw signs that we needed training before anything became a problem. I had an amazing conversation with Adam when we first spoke. Adam was already telling me about my dog without meeting him. He was sooo on point it was crazy. He told me the plan. We sent our boy for 3 week. He is so much more confident. Obedient. A work in progress. But we are most happy that we, as a family, were also trained on how to make it all more successful at home. My boy is much happier and so are we!! Here is he holding his “place” ❤️

Adam did an amazing job with our 6-month-old Goldendoodle, Nitro. We enrolled him in the 3-week program, and the transformation has been incredible. Nitro is more focused, listens better, and is so much calmer and more well-behaved overall. What’s even more impressive is that Adam trained two of Nitro’s brothers at the same time — three puppies total — and handled it flawlessly. If you are looking for the absolute BEST training experience for your dog, look no further than Next Door K-9 Solutions in Norton, MA. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I enrolled both of my adult Shiba Inus, Cheeb (7) and Luna (4), in the 5-week board and train program to focus on confidence, approachability, vocal control, discipline, and overall obedience. As anyone familiar with Shibas knows, they are an incredibly stubborn breed. While both had minimal informal training, they had ultimately developed bad habits and behaviors that truly necessitated extensive work and consistency to correct. I was especially nervous about Cheeb. At 7 years old, he struggled significantly with commands, meeting new people, and—if I’m being honest—being a bit of a naughty guy in general. To my absolute amazement, Adam and Mikey jumped right in without hesitation. They immediately began deconstructing his behaviors and essentially re-educating him from scratch. Their patience, confidence, and skill were remarkable. They worked tirelessly to build his confidence, motivation, and people skills, never backing down from the challenge of this stubborn boy. Luna, my sweet 4-year-old girl, has always been more docile than Cheeb, but she struggled with fearfulness and shyness in new situations. While she has always been friendly with people and other dogs, she often lacked the confidence to fully engage without being timid. She also needed structure and coaching in general obedience. On top of that, Luna has chronic medical conditions, so I was very anxious about her being away for several weeks and ensuring her daily medications were properly managed. The team handled everything flawlessly. Not only was Luna exceptionally well cared for medically, but her training needs were met with the same patience, structure, and encouragement. From the very first consultation through graduation, Adam, Mikey, and Natasha were kind, patient, supportive, and incredibly communicative. They consistently provided updates, walked me through their goals for Cheeb and Luna, and clearly explained their progress and next steps. Adam truly takes the time to understand both you and your dog, and he translates that understanding into a comprehensive, individualized training plan that works. The idea of a board and train program initially felt overwhelming to me. However, after my very first conversation with Adam, I immediately felt relief. Any preconceived fears or concerns I had disappeared. I felt confident, comfortable, and completely trusted the team with my dogs. What meant the most to me was seeing how much Cheeb and Luna absolutely LOVED Adam and Mikey. They quickly established trust and comfort with them, and it was so clear that my dogs were not only learning but genuinely happy and well cared for. That peace of mind is priceless. Even now, after their graduation, the team has been so supportive in providing me the education, resources and training that I need to ensure continuity of the work that was done with Cheeb and Luna. Beyond the initial training I received on the day of graduation, the team has also extended themselves further and reached out to me consistently to check in, provide feedback, make suggestions and coach me in being the best dog dad I can possible be in their continued training. Adam, Mikey, and Natasha are beyond knowledgeable—they have a deep, genuine love for what they do, and it shows in every interaction and every result. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering support throughout this transformation. I am incredibly grateful to the entire team and truly could not have asked for a better experience. I will absolutely continue using Next Door K-9 for all of Cheeb and Luna’s boarding needs and will remain a loyal client for any future pups and training needs. We had an amazing experience with Next Door K9. Winnie completed the 3-week board and train with Adam, and the transformation has been incredible. Before training, she was reactive and constantly pulling on leash, had no recall, and struggled with jumping and begging at home. Walks were stressful. Now she’s calm, responsive, and so much more confident. Her leash manners are night and day, her recall is reliable, and she understands boundaries at home. Adam was knowledgeable, patient, and thorough — and he made sure we felt confident continuing the training once she came home. We’re so grateful and highly recommend Next Door K9.
