Niche Creek Kennels

I cannot say enough great things about Niche Creek Kennels and John Hoffman. For the past 3 years, I have wanted to have a therapy dog that could work with me in my job as a mental health and mental performance therapist with athletes. So after years and finally finding ‘the’ pup, we started our journey, only to quickly realize that training dogs was not easy! John and Niche Creek were recommended many times for their basic obedience program, but let’s be honest, the problem was me! I was scared to send my dog to someone I didn’t know, what would that process look like, would he be safe and cared for, what would he be like once he returned, how would I survive without seeing him, etc. John met these questions, my helicopter parenting style and anxieties with kindness, reassurance and willingness through educating me, loving my pup and being EXACTLY the trainer we needed. I’m writing this 2-months after dropping Rudy off for basic obedience training and man, am I glad I did! He’s a well mannered dog that listens and does his job, but is still the silly, loving pup that I want and need for our work together. John has been a pivotal part of our journey! He was not only a good mentor and coach to Rudy (and myself) but loved him and guided him in my absence. I can confidently say that Niche Creek Kennels and ‘Uncle’ John have given Rudy and I the basic obedience tools we need to become a GREAT therapy team! I’m excited as we continue this journey as a therapy team and say thank you for all you do for our dogs and the owners as well! PS- If you are on the fence and wondering, rip the bandaid and just do it! You will NOT regret it!
