I have been bringing my Malinois to Nikao Working K9s for several months now, and the results have been amazing! They offer a variety of working dog training options. For my needs I have a 4 year old Malinois was very reactive to all strangers, and her first instinct was to react aggressively. Working breeds are a different caliber of dogs that require special training skills. Sydney has a natural gift to understand her clients dogs thought process and she has been successful to temper her aggressive behavior using consistency, patience and skills without ever raising her voice or using fear tactics to obtain positive results. My Mal immediately formed a deep bond with her- which has yielded respect and a desire to follow her directive allowing for the training methods to become habit. I had worked previously with multiple trainers with failed results because fear and aggression based training does not work. Simply put- when the situation changes and the dog has the opportunity to take control their aggressive behavior will return. Sydney understands this, and knows how to change the dogs thought process through repetition and positive affirmation. And because training is a full time commitment for reliable results - they take the time to train you so that you are able to reinforce learned skills for better success and retention. Their air conditioned facilites are extremely clean and their board/ train option is a great option to utilize for all my dogs instead of a drop-off kennel that leaves them without mental stimulation and stressed.
