My 14 month old shepherd barks continuously at people. He is a rescue we have him 7 weeks so far,He even barks at people on TV. He used to bark at noises, cars garbage cans but not any more just people. What do we do
Your dog is getting more used to his surroundings as he has already stopped barking in some situations. Your goal is to modify his behavior in all situations. Obedience training will give you techniques and methods to communicate your desire to the dog and for you to understand what the dog is saying to you. Its difficult to make recommendations without first evaluating the dog. I can explain the probable trigger for the barking, why the dog is barking and establish a process to control the barking on your terms, but it would take a bit of time and some demonstration to communicate effectively. Why not give us a call and set up and evaluation? GSD are my specialty. They are easy to train once the path of communication between you and the dog is defined. I use minimally aversive training, no prong collars no shock collars no food. The dog works because it wants to please, once he understands your wants. Let us show you how to show him what pleases you.

James knows dogs. Being clear with the dog he will show you how quickly a dog learns and never put the k9 in conflict. If a handler or pet owner want a good teacher James is the right choice.
Jim is an amazing trainer and my dogs love him! They get so excited if I just mention his name and they are beyond happy to see their friends there, too! Highly recommend!!!

My GSD had no training for 2 years prior to me getting her and was terrified of other dogs and people. While she is still a work in progress after 6 months of training, she greets instead of hiding behind my legs and obedience has greatly improved! James has a lot of patience and reads the dogs well.
