Noble Woof Dog Training PDX

We'd previously taken the relaxation class which helped a lot for our anxious/fearful dog, Cappy, but her reactivity with people/dogs was getting to be a little overwhelming and we felt like we needed extra help. We worked with Meredith and can't believe the progress that Cappy made in a little over 3 months! Not only has Cappy become more confident but so have we; by gaining the knowledge on how to manage her triggers. We appreciated the follow up documents that went along with the training, so we always had access to go back and review what we learned. Meredith also helped us with other behavioral issues that "popped up" in our training sessions. I would highly recommend the trainers here; they truly care about helping people with their dogs while using positive and fear-free training.

I reached out to Noble Woof after receiving a strong recommendation about a year prior from someone I was chatting with one day. Their dog shared some of the same issues as my dog Loki, including marked difficulty with cooperative care. He was absolutely terrified of just walking into the vet, and was so distressed during physical exams, vaccinations, and labs that he would urinate on himself and attempt to bite staff out of fear. Prior to calling Noble Woof, I had already completed a year of group classes covering multiple other skills at another dog training business. Although these other skills were great and helped with solidifying my bond with Loki through training, I still overall felt defeated and hopeless and like a horrible dog owner, wondering if someone else could do a better job Calling Noble Woof was the best decision I ever made. Brie, who is also the owner, shared that she specialized in cooperative care, and offered to take Loki and I as clients, and so we have had the honor of working with her the last 4 months after signing up for the Ghost Pepper package, which I think now is the Gold Package. Brie is patient, kind, incredibly thorough, and her knowledge of dog behavior and specifically cooperative care training is amazing. It is obvious how much time and thoughtfulness she takes when reviewing the homework videos I submit, and her feedback is always easy to understand. She does a great job of responding to questions I have in a timely manner and does her best to accommodate my schedule when planning tutoring and trainings. One caveat to this is that I'm a huge planner and think we scheduled many of our sessions several months out. With Brie's help and guidance, Loki has made such major improvements, and it is a bonus that he absolutely loves Brie, and you can tell how much Brie loves dogs. Another benefit I wasn't expecting is that as his confidence is improving around the cooperative care, this confidence seems to be rolling over to other areas of working with him, which has been great! My dog and I recently completed a 6-session private training with Meredith. I couldn't be happier with the experience and results. First, the experience. Communication was always prompt and helpful. After each session I received detailed noted from what we covered, along with extra information (articles, videos, etc.) that reinforced the lessons. She also provide me help on a couple of occassions between sessions when I had questions. I could manage the scheduling online, which was very helpful when I had an unexpectedly sick dog one week. Meredith was on time for every session. She was never even one minute late. She arrived ready to go and made full use of all of our time together. Meredith paid very close attention to my needs and where my dog was at. I never felt like she was following some sort of training playbook. Everything felt very tailored and relevant for my dog. And my dog seemed to enjoy the training. After a couple of sessions she would greet Meredith with the same enthusiasm she greets me when I get home. What about the results? Meredith showed me how to better understand what my dog is communicating. When we go for walks I see so much more than just a dog sniffing around for something to eat. My dog is very reactive. Meredith gave me a ton of tools to use to deal with those situations. I know what signs to look for before my dog becomes a crazy barking demon dog so I can descalate. As a result, taking my dog for walks and welcoming people into my home are much less stressful for everyone involved. The price of the training was the same you'd pay for any other highly trained professional come to your house to perform a service. That's to say, it's not cheap, but it's not unreasonable, either. In my case, the money was very well spent. I'm looking into continuing the training.
