I HIGHLY recommend coming here!!! And here is why I do; I unfortunately had to come to a dramatic decision regarding my Australian Shepherd. She had become very territorial, and aggressive. I lost my spouse to cancer. We were blessed to have hospice in our home. But it was so devastating to me and our animals! Immediately after, Shelby, our Australian Shepherd became so protective of me! She wouldn't let anyone or any other of our pets near me. I didn't want to lose her too!! But I couldn't continue with her aggression. Nothing seemed to calm her down. I decided to give Shelby one last chance with seeing a trainer. Becca was the trainer I picked after a lot of research. I wanted to get her opinion before I made any drastic decisions. Let me tell you, she not only could read and understand Shelby, she gained her trust! Becca took the time to explain Shelby's point of view to explain her behavior to me! She doesn't just "tell you what you need to do". She thoroughly explains the intent and reasons. So I could fully understand why, and what Shelby is thinking or going through. Which gave me reassurance BOTH Shelby and I understood, and trusted each other! As I needed the training just as much as Shelby! Shelby has since become a GREAT companion!! I am able to have company over now! I am also able to go on walks, go to parks, go camping with her, and not be terrified what she will do! She will greet other people and dogs with literally a smile and her wiggling butt!! This has been SUCH A BLESSING! I never thought I could do any of these things again! Becca is very down to earth, thorough, caring, and extremely intelligent about ALL dogs and their training capabilities you desire!! She brings the BEST out of dogs and amazing talents. (And you). Even if you don't think your dog is capable of certain training! I know there are "good trainers", but she will provide the "best training" you can get! At a reasonable price. She has so much experience and accomplished higher level training for helping people the best they deserve. I could say plenty more reasons why I feel Becca is phenomenal! But this is long enough. Even if you're on the fence, TRY her out!!! You will see what I'm talking about. It will be advantageous to you AND you pet! North Country also provides room to take care of your dog while you go on vacation if you want. Shelby was so well taken care of and had more extensive training while I left on vacation for a week. What a great success and experience I had working with Becca! My next step is to get "Tracking" training with Becca and Shelby! I can't wait!

Becca is the absolute BEST dog trainer! She helped train our Corgi/Boarder Collie when he was a puppy. He learned simple obedience commands thru positive reinforcement and ever since training he has been such a well behaved dog! We always get so many compliments from people on how well trained he is. She is so knowledgeable at what she does and our dog loves her! I’m so glad we got the training we needed and forever grateful for Becca’s help! ☺️

I have worked with Becca for years now. She has trained all four five of my dogs and has done a phenomenal job. I can’t of anyone else I would rather send my dogs or work with. She does my dogs boarding while on vacation and also any training needs as the dogs age. I have high energy dogs that love to work so learning new ways to help them has been great. Becca is very patient and understanding when it comes to the dogs and working with the humans. I would highly recommend her!! 😊

Becca is phenomenal! We have an Alaskan Malamute, which is large statured northern breed dog. This breed is strong, very intelligent, and has a stubborn streak that can make it difficult to train. Becca has trained him so well! We get compliments on his good behavior all the time. Her expert training work on our dog transformed his pulling into excellent walking while he heels and keeps some slack on the leash. Whenever we go out of town, we know our dog is in great hands, he’ll brush up on his skills, and will have an excellent time in her care! Becca has even taught him to pull a sled in the snow and it brings us so much joy to see him so happy. When I had a baby, Becca was happy to be on call as I went into labor, she took care of our dog while we were in the hospital, and helped introduce him to his new baby sister when we brought our newborn home. I recommend North Country Canine Academy to all my friends and family who want a dedicated, highly skilled dog trainer who treats your dog as a beloved member of her own family. The way our dog’s feet get tippy tappy and his whole body wags when Becca’s truck pulls up makes it clear she is one of his favorite people! He loves her so much and I can tell by the way he is so excited and affectionate whenever he reunites with her! I’m so happy we found Becca and couldn’t imagine raising our dog without her.
