Have you guys been able to reopen daycare yet? And if not do you have plans to?

Hello, We have recently moved into a new facility and it is under construction. Once it is completed, we will be starting up our Day-Training program, but we will be doing things a bit differently, namely with smaller groups and a heavier focus on training with end goals. We will be making a big announcement on our website and social media pages when it comes time, which we anticipate being before the end of this fall.

I have a bull Mastive. His 7 years old. When I correct him for peeeing in the house he growles at me and try to bite me. Is this a dominate issue. How can I make him stop.

Hi Cindy. Chances are he is not trying to be dominant. How long have these issues been happening? How are you correcting him?

I can’t say enough about North Country Canine. We did the three week behavior modification board and train, when you see the price you may think…no way. I promise you it is worth every cent, and cheaper than some of the other comparable programs in the area. We dropped Mason off 21 days ago and I could barely even talk to the trainer about his behaviors and his personality without having to yell. He was barking, pulling me on the leash, and very nervous. We picked him up tonight and it was like he was a different dog. He walks on his leash ALMOST perfectly, heels, sits when I stop. He is able to “place” on his cot until told to move. He had so many distractions tonight with people coming in for classes and my children running around the training room he was in, and he sat in place the entire time. They educated me on his new training tools such as the ecollar and the prong collar, and told me what expectations I needed to have for Mason and what to work on at home. Mason also goes home with six additional private lessons so I can feel confident and “proof” his new training in different environments. If you don’t feel like reading all that I’ll sum it up… North Country Canine is the BEST! The team of trainers there are very good at what they do. They literally changed our lives for the better and we can’t thank them enough for all their hard work. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent dog training classes. We also regularly use their daycare for our pup for socialization and exercise while we work. Their employees are so kind and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone!

So happy to have NCC. They really care and love our fur baby as their own. They have a lot of compassion and love for what they do. The knowledge of K9s the owner and her staff have is emense. This is definitely a hid gem in the north country.

Was told they cannot offer doggie daycare to my 6 month old (80 lb) puppy because he isn't neutered?? He's not even old enough yet! Was told once he is, to let them know...so he has to wait 6 MONTHS before he can go to a daycare? CRAZY

Hi there! Adorable pup. I think there may have been a mistake in identity here. There are several pet businesses in the area with “North Country” in the name. We are North Country Canine, located in the Seaway Plaza off Route 11, and we welcome intact dogs for our day school program!<br><br><br><br>Because of our ability to create smaller play groups and the fact that we have trainers on staff during daycare hours, many, if not most of our daycare clients are intact. We have the ability to separate dogs by gender. On top of that, we screen our new daycare dogs carefully to match them into a play group that meshes with their temperament. We have no age restrictions on when or if a dog is spayed or neutered, and encourage our customers to work with their veterinary team to determine at what age is best for the dog. The only policy we have regarding intact dogs is that we ask that owners do not bring their females while they are in heat, and that they are bathed thoroughly before returning to day school once their cycle is up. <br><br><br><br>Feel free to check out our FAQ page on our website for more information.
