We cannot recommend Virginia enough! She has made such an impact on our day to day life with the skills and tips she taught us while working with us and our dog Junior. Junior struggled with resource guarding, which made certain situations stressful for all of us. Virginia worked closely with us to understand Junior's behavior and taught us effective strategies to handle it. She also provided us with a wide range of tactics to keep Junior safe and to better manage her high energy levels. From day one, her guidance was practical, compassionate, and tailored specifically to Junior's needs. Since working with Virginia, Junior is happier, more relaxed, and seems to understand what we are communicating to her. The changes have made our lives so much easier and more enjoyable. We’re incredibly grateful for the knowledge and tools Virginia gave us. Virginia is the best and we are so appreciative of everything she did for us and Junior!
Virginia was very knowledgeable and gave us great tools to help our highly excitable dog. Our dog has been improving with her help with jumping on guests coming to our home. She also helped us with key words to use so that our dog does not chew or take things that are not his toys or food and he is doing so much better! I would recommend her to anyone looking for dog training.

We worked with Virginia at North Star Canines for 6 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. Virginia was very thorough in her training. She really helped us to understand how to reward good behavior and taught us puppy skills and commands. She followed up with emailed summaries after each visit which were very detailed and helped recap each visit. Our puppy, Auggie has come a far way thanks to Virginia and her training. Very pleased with our experience.
Virginia was extremely helpful. I especially liked the follow up emails which gave a review of our lessons with tips, and article or video links to specific skills we were working on.
