North Star Family K-9

One year ago we adopted Ludo, a staffie rescue. Quickly we realized that he had some behavioral issues that we didn't know how to manage. We found K9SF and started with a ten session package. Half of our sessions were with a previous trainer and the other half were with Milo. Ludo was very fearful of new men but seemed to take an instant liking to Milo. Milo worked with us on Ludo's reactivity and anxiety. Sarah was also amazing and brought her own pups to work with us. We have a much better adjusted happy boy after our sessions. I'm truly amazed at his progress and can't wait to see what the future holds for him. He now has a doggie best friend and does pretty well with meeting new people. We ended the package with a clear idea of the work we need to do going forward. We're so grateful to have found Milo. We'll definitely be returning in the future.

I have done two board and trains with K9SF, and I fully expect to do more in the future. I have two working-line german shepherds that I train for search and rescue. I wanted to find a trainer that could help me with some dog reactivity issues I was having. I decided to do a board and train with K9SF while I was out of town (two birds and all that). I've done a few board and trains in the past, but they were nothing compared to how Milo and his team does theirs. Not only does Milo send daily updates about training and the progress he's made, but he also provides very accessible and articulate insights into behaviors he sees when working with a dog--and those insights are spot on. As a K9 search and rescue handler, I've done my fair share of dog training. I knew Milo was legit when his insights were directly inline with what I had identified in my dogs. Milo was even able to point out a few things that I wasn't able to identify. It was very refreshing working with such a knowledgeable trainer who cares so much about what he does. I highly recommend Milo and his team for any type of dog training and behavior modification.

We completed a 10 week behavior modification and obedience course with Milo. Our dog, Chance, is leash reactive and was having an extremely difficult time passing dogs on walks and listening to basic commands. Milo did an excellent job explaining exactly how to communicate with Chance and the results speak for themselves. We feel much more confident and comfortable taking Chance on walks and passing dogs without an outburst. I really appreciated that Milo listened to our every concern and asked follow-up questions to really understand where Chance was having trouble. His dog knowledge shows through the training sessions and we will definitely be going back when we want to work on more advanced training!
