North Star Family K-9

We adopted a young border collie mix who was struggling with reactivity. It got to the point that we knew we needed some professional help. Our trainer, Milo, recommended the 3 week board and train, and we also tacked on 2 sessions after the B/T to help teach us after the fact. We are so glad we did this! We missed our buddy so much, but the daily report cards, photos and videos were awesome and helped us feel connected to the training while he was away. When we met for his mid-B/T session, we could already see how much progress he had made and how much he was loving the training. By the time we picked him up, we were dealing with a new, more confident dog. We loved the take home plan and it definitely made it so much easier to ease him into the transition home, as well as helped us to learn how to meet his needs and communicate in a way he understands. What Milo was able to do in 3 weeks was amazing, and all the other staff members we met that worked with our boy were awesome. Start to finish, this was an incredibly positive experience for us, we're very grateful, and we would definitely recommend North Star Family K-9!

Our (almost) 1 year old Aussiedoodle is a very high energy girl with a strong prey and play drive. She can become frenetic when faced with exciting or unfamiliar stimuli. We needed help managing her impulsivity so we enrolled her in the board and train program at NSFK9. The staff at NSFK9 were all great. Milo was our pup's primary trainer/handler. Milo is a very talented trainer; skillful and competent. He has much training experience and expertise and we were impressed watching him work with our excitable pup. Following her board and train program, our pup is much more able to manage her impulses and decompress when overstimulated. We were provided with a clear at-home follow-up plan so we can continue to mold her into the well-behaved dog we desire. I would highly recommend NSFK9 if you want/need help training your canine companion!
