North Star Family K-9

When I first rescued him at the age of 4 months from a dog shelter he was a very skittish and high anxious dog with no form of behavioral control but after spending 3 weeks at North Star I was surprised how far he had come from where he was and from where he is now in just 3 weeks. Went from not listening to a single command to being able to go no leash around the neighbor on HALLOWEEN and every door we approached he listened to my command to “sit” and when we weren’t doing door to door he was laying in the yard with no leash and didn’t care about any other dog that was walking in the neighborhood and let the kids rub his belly with no aggression at all.

I just want to start off by saying "THANK YOU", for all the help and patience you have shown Daisy and I. I have to admit I was so scared to let my "baby girl" go to some strangers house. Honestly, what got me through all my anxiety and fear was the constant communication, and all the videos you sent me on a daily basis in the beginning. I don't know if I could have gotten through this time without all the communications you had given me. I probably needed more help than her! LOL Through this process you have also given me so much information it has made it so much easier on training Daisy. Even though she is only 2.5lbs she has a BIG personality with a lot of stubbornness! She has overcome so many obstacles that I never thought she could do. Everyday with your training with Daisy it continued to shine through showing how smart, resilient, and how strong she is!! I have learned so much especially it doesn't matter on the size of the dog they can do anything they put their mind to with proper training to be safe while doing it. Daisy will be 1 years old at the end of the month, and my goal was to give her a solid foundation with training to give her a happy, safe, and healthy life with me. I can honestly say with all the training from Hank, and his wife Nicole she will live her best life!! I have so much gratitude for the both of you!! So much trust was built over the last month that Daisy will be going over there for 2 weeks at the end of April for a refresher course as I recover from surgery. I'm so grateful that Hank and Nicole will be part of our lives forever!! Again, if you are on the fence that your dog is to small for training you are absolutely wrong, and Daisy Mae is proof it works!! I'm so grateful for the both of you, and I can't thank you enough!! I just got a call from my husband and he was in absolute tears from the kindness of K9SF Dog Training. We live nearby and my husband forgot to close the yard gate after bringing in groceries - and for the first time our two beloved dogs got out, in the frigid cold. They were picked up a few blocks from our house and an ultra kind human dropped them off at K9SF. My husband received a call within minutes of the dogs being missing, and it was K9SF.
