Lisa Lucas has helped dogs and their humans thrive since 2005 through compassionate, positive reinforcement dog training. As both a professional dog trainer and intuitive animal communicator, she offers private in-home dog training throughout Spokane and Stevens Counties, plus group dog training classes at her cozy, forest-surrounded facility in the Deer Park area (Clayton). She also offers Animal Communication Services to a global clientele. Her boarding school for dogs provides immersive training and safe off-leash play in secure, fenced areas. Whether you're working on manners, behavior issues, an AKC title, or want to have a deeper, intuitive conversation with your pet - you've come to the right place!

We used Lisa for private lessons with my dog who deals with a ton of anxiety from a previous dog attack. Lisa was responsive, listened and had numerous ideas to help us. We had seen many trainers and felt like we were at a dead end until trying Lisa with Northern Tails.

Lisa is one of the best dog trainers that I have worked with. She has the experience to help dogs and their owners with clear communication. She truly understands dogs and how they think. Lisa has greatly helped me deal with two different dogs, starting with puppy classes. She has the skill and the knowledge that we don't often see in the world of dog trainers. She is for real and truly excels in her field. I feel very fortunate to have her here in the Inland NW. You will not have to worry about her methods of training, they are very effective and fair to the dog and yes KIND....no shock collars here people! I would highly recommend you and your dog/puppy join her dog training classes.
I was thrilled to find Northern Tails as a training option for my young Goldendoodle. We found Lisa to be a knowledgeable, kind instructor who has helped both of is grow in confidence and skill. Archie loves going to class each week! I look forward to taking other classes with Lisa!
