I cannot describe how incredible the experience was working with Matt and Jen. Our dog stayed for four weeks and when he returned an unbelievable difference, in fact my wife and I wondered if they had given us a different dog. They continue to follow up with us and if we have questions, they get back with us. We are also continuing our training with their after training group sessions. Our journey with NWB Dogs and our canine companion, Bug, has been nothing short of remarkable. We embarked on a unique training approach, combining in-person classes with an E-Collar, along with a short board and train program. We brought our 7 month old German Shorthair Pointer to NWB for private lessons with Matt. Even though we only had a limited amount of time in White Salmon, NWB put together a short course for us with training tailored to our needs, e-collar introduction, recall and loose leash walking. Matt is genuine and honest in his dog training approach, which starts with teaching the dog owners. In our first session he gave us an easy to understand explanation of NePoPo training theory and practical applications. He made sure that we were equipped with the right tools, expectations and aims for GSP training both in the lesson and for long afterwards. As we progressed through the lessons we could literally see desired behaviors emerging within short, focused training sessions. Matt ensured that each lesson was adapted to the situation and our puppy’s comprehension of the task, and would change conditions or settings in real time to get the desired outcome. Each lesson ended with us and our puppy in high spirits, with excitement about our progress and energized to continue on with training.
