OC Paws Dog Training LLC

We adopted a mixed breed (primarily American Staffordshire Terrier) dog named Daisy a couple months ago from a shelter in Nevada. She was about 8 months old and we knew nothing about her past. She was lovable but very spirited and hard to control. I decided that professional dog training would be a good idea for Daisy. I went to the internet and OC Paws Dog Training popped up on my screen. I compared their advertisement to others that were available and decided they were in line with what I was looking for. I called and signed up for a series of four adolescent (over 6 months) training classes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were limiting the class size to only 3 dogs and the classes had to be held outdoors. Of course the human owners all had to wear face masks. Andrew, our instructor, did an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating the training material in a fun and professional manner. He explained everything thoroughly. We were told why dogs behave the way they do and instructed on how to create positive changes. We were given the tools necessary to be our dog’s trainer now and on an ongoing basis. Andrew advised and encouraged everyone that he was available after class to answer additional questions they have regarding their dog. I did this a couple of times and was very pleased with the personal attention and great advice received. I also emailed Andrew with an issue I was having with Daisy regarding a concerning behavior. He provided very honest and helpful advice. Andrew sends out an email recap after each class to all participants that reviews the training that was introduced and what we should continue to work on. This class meet all my needs and exceeded my expectations. Daisy has learned to control her high spirit and has allowed me to enjoy our time together with the confidence I need to have. I would highly recommend Andrew and OC Paws Dog Training to anyone looking for a great class and/or instructor to fulfill your dog’s training needs. I am so impressed with what was accomplished in this class and look forward to a lifetime of happiness with Daisy.

OC Paws Training is the best. We have a high energy Mini Golden Doodle pup who was very reactive to other dogs when on leash. OC Paws helped us understand the psychology of the behavior and provided guidance on how to correct. The time and money we invested has been invaluable. Rufous is still a high energy pup, which we love, but he is more comfortable and confident now and much less anxious. We continue to work with him and appreciate that OC Paws is always an email away for support.

OC Paws did a great job with our lab! Stacy was so good with our dog and taught us some great tools for training. We finished our sessions feeling much more knowledgeable and we know we have the skills to continue to grow with our dog as he grows. She was always available for questions and would follow up each lessons with an overview and things to work on in between visits. We would recommend OC Paws to a friend!
