Off Leash K9 of Northern Virginia

We had an incredible experience with Off Leash K-9 and our trainer, Mark M.! Their board-and-train program was truly one of the best investments we’ve made for our puppy. Since completing the training, she is noticeably less anxious, understands her role in the house, and confidently follows her basic commands. The improvement in her listening and overall behavior has been amazing—she responds 100% better now. The trainers were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. We’re so grateful for the transformation and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for effective, life-changing training for their dog! 🐾

Lily worked with my 1 year old bloodhound, Cool Hand Luke. Luke is a good boy. But the combination of his breed, stubborn nature, size, and strength humbled me. I thought I would be able to train him on my own. I was wrong. I not only needed caring discipline, structure, and consistency…I needed a trainer who understood how to get through to him and establish a new foundation. After 2 weeks of board and train, Lily molded Luke to understand and obey. My family continues to lead and train and build on the foundation created by Lily. She remains engaged in the progress we continue to make and truly cares about the success of Luke and our family.

Lily is an amazing trainer and a true specialist in dog behavior and communication. She was incredibly kind and patient with my 8-month-old Bernadoodle, Joy. Throughout the training week, Lily was proactive in sending daily updates, including detailed videos explaining what Joy learned each day. The photos were absolutely amazing—honestly, Joy might be ready to start her own Instagram page with how great they turned out! When I arrived for pickup, Lily spent nearly an hour and a half explaining step-by-step home training instructions. Lily also provided a comprehensive “going-home” guide for Joy. She also made it clear that I can call or text her anytime with questions or concerns. A trainer for life! Thank you so much, Lily!

We had an incredible experience with Dean and his two-week board and train program for our two Frenchies. From the very beginning, the communication was outstanding. Dean kept us updated daily with photos and videos showing what the dogs were working on and the progress they were making. That level of communication not only helped ease the anxiety of having them away for two weeks, but it also gave us a lot of confidence that they were learning and improving every day. When we met with Dean at the end of the program, he walked us through everything they had learned and showed us exactly how we, as a family, can continue reinforcing the training at home. He made the transition very smooth and gave us the tools to keep building on what the dogs learned. It’s now been a couple of weeks since they’ve been back home, and the training has absolutely stuck. They haven’t regressed and continue to show the behaviors and structure they learned during the program. We are incredibly grateful to Dean for his communication before, during, and after the program. It was worth every penny, and we will absolutely use him again for any future dogs we bring into our family. Highly recommend!
