We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training ! I cannot describe the wonders that Logan has done for us and our dog, Milo. He addressed some problem areas and they were resolved. He helped us add some additional skills on our wish list for our velcro fur baby. He gently and professionally taught us how to listen and understand our dog. He’s a real life dog whisperer. He is an exceptional dog trainer! Milo is doing amazing and I feel more capable of being the owner he needs me to be. My one-year-old rescue doodle completed a two-week board and train with Allison, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. She kept me consistently updated with daily photos, videos, and check-ins, which gave me so much peace of mind. Allison is incredibly kind, patient, and loving, and she is extremely thorough in her training. Since coming home, my dog walks so much better on a leash, no longer jumps on people, and has learned how to soothe himself instead of getting overstimulated. The progress he made in such a short time is truly amazing, especially given his background as a rescue. Allison is also incredibly helpful and always takes the time to answer any questions I have. She even offers refresher sessions if my dog (or I) need improvement, which shows how invested she is in long-term success. I’m so grateful for her care, dedication, and expertise.

I can’t believe how much money I wasted on this. My trainer was nice and all. The dog did well with them from what I could tell with pics and videos but nothing translated from the trainer to me when the dog came home. I should have done in person training I guess. The board and train was more like a 2 week vacation for me and a boot camp for my dog. The hand off back to me was not educational enough. I am not a trainer. I don’t know how to make my dog do the things you all do. Just cause I have a shock collar doesn’t mean anything. They need to spend more time teaching the owner how to train. I was told I could reach out for refreshers but the last one I got felt rushed and again more like watch what I can do with your dog vs let me train you. Let me tell you how this works. Why and how often to do it etc. I feel like they’d be better off to just send instruction videos as refreshers. Not make me have to text the trainer all the time. Or ask for videos from them, which I did ask for and never got. I saw that trainers schedule and they were busy as hell. I got the feeling my dog was in a crate most of the two weeks and only brought out to train. I’m just not happy and again I wish I had done in person training so I actually learned this. I don’t want to complain and be that person but I couldn’t hold it in anymore.

First, regarding the transition home: your trainer completed a 2+ hour, in-home turnover session with you and your dog at your home. During that session, you were coached hands-on while actively working your dog yourself, with the trainer guiding, correcting, and explaining the “how” and “why” behind the training. This handoff is intentionally designed to teach owners how to maintain and continue the training at home, not simply demonstrate what the trainer can do. It’s also important to clarify an expectation that was discussed during training: training does not stop when a board and train ends. Dogs are not robots, and long-term success depends on consistent follow-through at home. Owners are coached on how often to practice, how to apply the tools correctly, and how to build reliability over time. Continued practice is a critical part of any training program, regardless of format. Second, our lifetime guarantee has always remained available to you. After the program, your trainer did attempt to schedule additional refresher sessions to continue supporting you and your dog. Unfortunately, despite attempts, the trainer was not able to secure a follow-up time that worked with your schedule. Your trainer also offered—more than once—to return to your home to continue hands-on coaching, and that offer still stands today. In regard to communication and updates during the board and train: you were sent daily pictures, videos, and messages, and we have documented messages from you throughout the program expressing how happy you were with your dog’s progress and the training being done. Transparency and communication are a core part of our program. We also want to directly address the concern about kennel time. Our board and train dogs do not live in a facility or spend their days crated except for appropriate rest periods, just as a dog would in a normal home. All board and trains live in our trainers’ homes, are treated as part of the family, and are trained in real-world environments. Additionally, our trainers are limited to a maximum of two board and train dogs at a time because we strongly prioritize quality and individualized care over volume. We understand that board and train programs are not the right fit for every owner, and it’s okay to feel that private lessons may have better matched your learning style. That said, we are still here to support you. Nothing about your lifetime guarantee has changed, and your trainer would be happy to come back to your home and continue working with you and your dog—at no additional cost—once we are given a day and time that works for you. We sent our dog Steel to train with Monica for 2weeks. Throughout the whole process Monica kept us updated, sending pictures and videos. She even explained what she was doing and why she was doing it in the videos. Monica is passionate about what she does. I'm thankful we decided to put our trust in her to train Steel.
