Off Leash K9 Training

Off Leash K9 is awesome. I enrolled my two German Shepherds (3 year old male and 7 year old female) into their basic training and they have grown immensely in their skills. Our trainer James has been amazing. He treats the dogs well and is always very kind and caring towards them. He was very accommodating with scheduling and was professional when needing to reschedule due to a snow storm. I was nervous about using an "e-collar" but James explained it was a TENs unit and made me feel what the dogs would be experiencing during our first meeting. It isn't anything painful and the dogs don't seem to mind it. They get excited putting on their collars because they know they get to go train and get cookies and praise. I highly recommend the program and will be continuing past the basic course with more training.

My husband and I picked up our 1 year old GSP Remi yesterday from the 2 week board and train with Off Leash in Colorado Springs. We were paired with trainer Aaron, who knocked it out of the park. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience with Aaron. When we dropped Remi off 2 weeks ago she was out of control and had very little manners. We also could not take her for walks because she would drag us down the street. We walked in yesterday and Remi was a new dog. She wasn’t jumping, she was laying down and holding her position. I was shocked by how well behaved she was acting. Then Aaron showed us how Remi could FINALLY walk on a leash without pulling and actually having slack in the leash. And the best part, she can stay by our side without a leash!! At the start of all of this I was a little nervous leaving Remi for 2 weeks, since she is super attached to us and has separation anxiety. But after I met Aaron I could tell she was a dog person and was going to take really good care of Remi as if she was her own dog. We got daily pictures and videos of Remi showing what they worked on that day and I couldn’t stop showing everyone at work her videos because she was doing so good. Aaron also made it very clear that when we picked her up that we can still reach out to her anytime we have problems or questions which was really nice to hear. If you are debating if the money is worth getting your dog trained with Off Leash, then this is your sign…go for it! You will not be disappointed and I can honestly tell you only after 1 day of having Remi back it’s the best money I’ve ever spent. And ask for AARON, she is the BEST!!

As soon as we could, we enrolled Merlin, our golden retriever, in training based on the reviews for Off leash K9. We were lucky enough to get a consult with James and then also train with him. We are SO grateful for our training sessions. Not only was it super helpful, but it was a lot of fun!! James was very professional but also very kind when correcting us. We laughed a lot and all loved on Merlin a lot. I would 10/10 recommend this training place and James as a trainer. He got Merlin to lay close to a vacuum! Something he is pretty timid of. Never did I think that was something we could accomplish. We can also walk in stores like Sportsman Warehouse with Merlin and he’s great! (James, if you’re reading this, yes we immediately went to try out walking in the store after training) Thank you x100000.
