Off Leash K9 Training

This is the only kind of training we will do from now on. We adopted two Amstaff puppies, a brother and sister. We signed up for the basic obedience training and began the training when they were the appropriate age. It was incredibly helpful to be taught how to train our puppies. Both puppies have done great with each lesson we've gone through: come, sit, place, heel, and down. It's taken practice in between sessions (and we haven't had time to practice as much as they recommend) but they continue to improve by leaps and bounds. We will have to continue to work with our puppies but are impressed with the results so far. Our puppies already happily heel better than any dogs we've ever had. We're looking forward to using all of these tools to have them join us in public as well-trained K-9's. We worked with Lila and Kimberly and they were both great! We contacted Kimberly twice with questions in between sessions and she was very quick to respond and was more than happy to help!

My wife and I decided to send our GSD to Off Leash K9 training in Colorado Springs off Hancock. Gus was our trainer for the two week board and train program. He was phenomenal: answered all of our questions, was highly and quickly responsive, amazing communication, and sent us multiple videos and updates throughout the training. Our 6 month old GSD came back well- mannered and trained. We are extremely confident that our dog can walk off leash with distractions. The two week program has allowed us to have a companion who listens and is well-behaved for the rest of his life. We constantly and continuously continue to heed to the trainer's advice and keep up with the training which will eventually become second nature to our GSD to be 100% without a leash and the training collar. Always follow through with commands and be patient with your newly trained companion and it only gets better every day. Even though we brought in a puppy who has a high physical stamina (puppy energy) and low mental stamina (short attention span due to lack of training), Gus was able to effectively train our dog that exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this facility and Gus as the main trainer. They know what their doing and the collar does not harm the dog.

We did our research on line prior to selecting Off Leash Training as there were several to choose from. What initially sold us was the quality of reviews that people were giving. We have a 1 year old Silver Lab named D'Artagnan (aka: Dart) and to say the least, he's a handful weighing in at over 95lbs. While we had done a few private lessons with another facility when Dart was 5 months old, it didn't fit our lifestyle as we were working full time and didn't have the time to invest in his training. As Dart got older, he showed some signs of aggression over his food and toys and we were concerned for our grandchildren. We met with Off the Leash for our initial visit and agreed that the two week 24/7 package was the best solution. Gustavo was assigned to Dart for the two weeks and I can't begin to sing his praises. We got our first video of Dart on his third day and were blown away by Dart's obedience in such a short time frame. Over the two weeks, Gustavo kept us updated with texts and videos which we shared with several family & friends and all of them were as amazed as we were. We picked Dart up a couple of days ago and spent a little over 3 hours with Gustavo as he led us through Dart's commands and had us practice to make sure we were comfortable. Our last 30 minutes, we went to the park with Dart and Gustavo and practiced his walking (heal) which was very simple. During our walk, Dart was off leash walking, healing and just having a great time. Gustavo was with us, but we were giving the commands and Dart was responsive. Since we've been home, Dart is much calmer and turning in to the family pet we had hoped for. He loves to go for walks and run errands with us to Lowe's, Pet Smart, etc.., where he is very well behaved. We feel confident in our ability to continue with Dart's training and know that Off the Leash is there should we need advice down the road. We, along with Dart, now have an excellent foundation to continue his training and I can't wait to see what Dart will be like in the coming months. All of this is because of one especially dedicated and gifted trainer who is passionate about his job, Gustavo! I'd give him a thousand stars if possible. My wife and I are forever grateful of how much Gustavo invested of himself into Dart and cannot recommend Off the Leash Training enough. Bravo!!
