Off Leash K9 Training, Athens

We have been working with Clay for training my dog Gus and he has been incredible. Gus is 5 and we were worried that he may be too old to be trained to not be so aggressive and reactive towards people and Clay has helped us realize that is not the case and Gus is actually an incredible dog and a quick learner. Gus enjoys the days he comes in for training and has become more confident and overall happier. Cannot recommend off leash training more especially working with Clay he has been incredible because he not only teaches your dog but also you on how you are supposed to practice these new commands with your dog. Every training lesson starts with him teaching you and your dog on how to do the new commands that we are learning for the day. So thankful for Clay and off leash training!

Clay is amazing! We signed up for 8 weeks training for our very reactive, protective and ill-mannered Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Maggie. By the second lesson he taught us how to “read” her behavior and apply proper responses to her reactivity. He helped us understand that Maggie wants to work and needed to be given jobs to do. We went from feeling overwhelmed to believing that she really is and can be a great family dog! Thank you Clay for teaching us patience and proper tools for our special breed!

I cannot express how much this training has helped me. I’m a college student with a malinois/dutch mix rescue who struggles with intense reactivity. Clay has helped me so much with developing strategies and learning to manage my dog, Klaus’ reactivity. He was very patient and took the time to teach both me and my dog on how to react when a triggering situation came up. During the last lesson of the reactivity package, Klaus was able to be within 20 feet of another dog, as well as maintain focus on me as a different dog barked at him along the fence. I cannot recommend these lessons enough to anyone struggling to manage their dog’s reactivity. It was worth every penny & every second spent outside of lessons working with my dog. The work occurs during and after the lessons, you get what you make of it. If you’re on the fence of trying OffLeash out, trust me that you will not regret your time with these amazing trainers!

We highly recommend training with Clay at Off Leash K9, Athens. We scheduled a meet & greet to see if this facility would meet our concerns and needs for training our 8 month old (over excited) lab puppy and from the moment we walked in, the puzzle pieces started falling into place. We walked out first day with improvements. We decided to take the 8 week Basic + Beyond Obedience course and have been AMAZED at the changes this has made for both us and our Pup! Not only did this include training in the facility but being about to go out in "real world" settings was a huge plus. Clay has been so flexible and helpful, we are forever grateful for his time!

Clay with an off Leash is a fantastic dog trainer! We were overwhelmed by our German Shepard- she had crazy high energy, intense ball drive and was overwhelming our family dynamics. We signed up for the 8 classes training package and felt more under control and more peaceful lifestyle by the 3rd training class. He really helped us understand dog psychology and helped train us in simple straightforward training techniques. Clay is great and we highly recommend!
