Off Leash K9 Training, Atlanta

Amazing experience! We were having some challenges with our 3 year old Australian Shepherd Nacho. Great dog, but got very excited when he saw other dogs, whether in the car, on TV, or outside. We decided to enroll in the 2 week board and train program. GAME CHANGER! We got connected with Mike and it is the best investment we have made. He sent daily updates and videos…we were very anxious to leave our pup and this really helped. It was clear Mike treated Nacho like he was his own dog. He is very knowledgeable and we also enjoyed the 2 hour private session when we picked Nacho up, to be be sure we knew how to handle him and proper steps to continue his (and our) education. Proof is in the pudding…this morning on Day 1 back at home was outside and a retriever was walking by and starting barking wildly…I told Nacho ‘off’ and he laid at my feet and looked away. No bark…not even close. Before training he likely would be at end of leash barking back. Thanks so much Mike for all your hard work…HIGHLY recommend…and ask for Mike!!!

We traveled to Amsterdam and Scotland for a little more than 10 days, so it made financial sense to spend a little extra money on formal training lessons for Edison. Anna did an amazing job with him. Edi is a 10-pound Aussie who almost always has his energy meter on full throttle. His collar has not changed his personality, which was my primary concern with training. In fact, he has a great deal of confidence for the first time in his life. We have been able to visit Home Depot, PetSmart, and the busy Interlock complex to do our immersive training (since his OLK9 training), and he has knocked them all out of the park. Each night on our vacation, we received a progress update and video from Anna. After the first couple updates, they became a highly anticipated ending to our day. He had a few issues early on due to his anxiety (always expected), and I felt completely at ease with him being in more than capable hands. Once we move to Smyrna (a quarter-mile walk from OLK9’s facility), we cannot wait to take Edi back to see Anna for some follow-up lessons! The level of service Off Leash K9 Training provides is excellent, to say the least. The name of my dog’s trainer is Rob and he is great- knowledgeable, thorough and patient. Georgia spent 2 weeks with him for the purpose of a board & train and she came back so well behaved! Rob kept us updated with videos/pictures on Georgia’s progress and the 2 hour training we received when it was time to pick her up went over everything we needed to know and more. Rob answered all our questions and we left feeling confident. The investment was so worth it! So glad we went with Off Leash K9 Training!!

If I could give a 10 star review I would. I can not put into words the gratitude I have for our trainer Mike. He literally transformed my dog. He was able to take my 100lb, 6 month old, unsocialized, teeth bearing, human dragging cane corso to a child friendly, manageable, non-aggressive dog that I can comfortably walk and take into public without concern. He was amazing! He took charge while still respecting the dog’s boundaries and pushed me to do the same. He took the necessary time to not only teach the command, but to explain to me all the what’s and why’s as well. I was a bit of a softy for Atticus and at first felt bad correcting him- Mike did not let me get away with it. He would stop me, explain what I as an owner had been doing and the consequences if I continued to do it my way. We didn’t even “finish” our lessons and Atticus is literally an off leash dog already! I recommend this program to any dog owner that is looking for results. This program is worth every penny and some. I can’t say enough how happy I am with the results, professionalism, respect for the animal and it’s needs and most importantly the confidence it was able to give me.

We have a 1 year old Catahoula mix that was very high energy and showed a lot of fear based leash reactivity. It was so bad that we felt we couldn't even walk him around our own neighborhood anymore. We did a multitude of things to try and level him out so he would be more susceptible to commands: basic training classes, had him neutered, and had him on multiple medications. Along with his reactivity and us having a newborn we knew we needed to do more so that he wouldn't have any accidents around our child. He was never aggressive towards her, just big and clumsy as most young pups are. We were assigned Nic at Off Leash K9 training for the 2 week board and train program. I cannot give enough accolades to Nic--we received daily updates, photos and videos. The difference was night and day even within the first few days. We were convinced that we would not be able to take our puppy out to breweries or other social gatherings but after these past 2 weeks we are confident that with us being consistent in his training that he can eventually thrive in those settings. I am glad we decided to pursue the program through Off Leash K9 and can't thank the trainers enough. Strongly suggest sending your dog here whether it is for basic dog training or anything more advanced.
