I can't stress enough how much of a quality of life difference there is with having well trained dogs. We have put 3 dogs through their 2 week board and train, and the night and day difference you'll see has to be experienced to fully understand. Our trainer, Amber has been amazing and very helpful through the whole process and is on hand with any needed follow up. They don't just train your dog, they train you the owner how to better understand and work with your dog.

I went through the 2 week boarding. My dog is STILL stubborn as heck. But, he definitely knows all his commands and I work with him regularly so we don't digress too much. Our trainer was/is Andy, and he was freaking amazing with everything! We still schedule our FREE refreshers any time we need to, which has been more times than I'd hope. But he gets us right! I just got a dog with one HECK of a personality, not to mention he is huge, heavy, and his tails whips like he's trying to knock a house down. Overall, I'm happy with the training we got.

My boyfriend did the two week board and train package. As a retired MWD handler from the Army, I’m not impressed at all. The command “stay” does not exist. His dog cannot focus on him unless “ stay” is used and reinforced. Colt has no response to the ecollar and the command “off” and is still eating his way through the fence to the neighbors dog. We take him to Lowe’s and dog friendly places and he immediately tucks his tail between his legs. My boyfriend is also a police officer and the hero discount was not offered nor given. I started implementing tasks we use with our MWD’s and it seems to help. When my boyfriend explained the most concerning issues, the trainer never addressed them with him. Ecollar being implemented I don’t feel gives the dog the proper introduction. We’re given extensive training with the ecollar for the MWD’s, still use stay and things turn out fine. “Shock” is not used right away. Everything starts out positive, using only vibrations in the beginning. My boyfriend is once again frustrated, feels he wasted $3,000 and still no improvement. Definitely needs to be more time given when transitioning the dog back to the owner. He was so overwhelmed and could remember everything and a pamphlet or handout of what to do would be great to help owners with commands and continue to help remember them and what they are used for. I do not recommend.
