Off Leash K9 Training, Birmingham

I cannot express enough how amazing this training program is. I sent my 7 month old lab puppy off for the “2 Week Board and Train” and she came back a completely changed dog!! Before i sent her off, she was displaying the typical puppy behaviors like jumping up, counter surfing, leash pulling, and only doing what she was told when she felt like doing it. After spending 2 weeks with her trainer, she was heeling off leash like a pro in any environment, coming when called, and would perform any command i asked that was taught to her including (extended) sit, (extended) down, come, off, place, heel, and break. We had the BEST experience with her trainer, Justin! He was absolutely amazing. He sent daily updates during the 2 weeks that included a summary of everything she learned that day as well as photos and videos of her progress. He took such great care of my dog, Mae, and really formed an amazing connection with her. When watching the videos he would send me it was obvious Mae really loved everything she was learning and was having a blast! Her tail was constantly wagging in every video. When it was time to return her to my care, he made the transition very smooth by teaching me exactly how to handle her. He also was also available to answer any questions i had at any time during her stay and after she was turned back over to me! He even gifted me with a picture frame containing one of the pictures of Mae he took as a parting gift! If you are thinking about sending your dog to get trained i could not recommend Off Leash K9 Training enough!!!! They truly will change the life of you and your dog.

I feel so lucky we found Justin and Off Leash for our 5-month-old German shepherd puppy, Cybill. We did a two week board and train since Cybill will be a working dog around lots of new people and loud noises and assistive devices, and we wanted to prepare her with a solid base for her further training. From Day 1, Justin has made time for me and my questions and my learning, so I knew what her training was going to look like and what I could expect - he talked with me on the phone, texted when I had questions, and then when he came to pick her up, he took plenty of time with us, got to know us and observed our relationship with Cybill. Every day of the board and train, we got beautiful pictures (including this glamour shot below), and videos and messages explaining training techniques, her responses, and how we can build on her learning. It was obvious Cybill loved and respected Justin and would do anything he said (or did not even have to say). When he dropped her off at the end of the two weeks, I was a little nervous she was going to want to stay with him forever, and while she did love me up for a minute, she also looked to him for the OK, which he gave her so she continued to be a wildly loving puppy AND one who can also flip the switch to focus and heel walk off leash through high traffic areas, place and hold an extended down for as long as she's asked, and respond to all basic obedience commands. We're excited to continue her training with Justin and are confident she's going to be able to bring joy to a lot of people in high stress an unpredictable situations.
