Off Leash K9 Training, Chicago

We have a one-year-old female miniature Schnauzer named Penelope. From the moment we brought her home, we noticed her flightiness, aggression, nipping, and aggressive barking at anyone who came near her. We suspected she had aggression issues and contacted Off Leash K-9, enrolling her in their course. During our initial meeting with ALEXIS, the trainer, he quickly engaged with Penelope and discovered that she wasn’t aggressive; she was simply a frightened dog trying to protect herself in the best way she knew how. ALEXIS demonstrated exceptional patience, knowledge, and openness to answering our questions. He was also fun and passionate about training. Not only did he impart valuable insights into communicating with Penelope, but he also demonstrated his expertise by applying his teachings in practice. Penelope has undergone a remarkable transformation. She is calmer, happier, and more confident in the support of her parents. We are incredibly grateful to ALEXIS and Off Leash K-9 for helping us understand Penelope’s true needs and providing her with a better quality of life. Sam did an outstanding job training our German Shepherd, Gordie. We’ve worked with other trainers in the past, but Sam gave us more confidence than anyone else. She was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in a way that made sense. We saw real progress with Gordie, and just as importantly, she helped us feel more confident handling and continuing his training at home. We had an amazing experience with Carson! Leaving our puppy, Bo, for two weeks was definitely hard, but Carson made the entire process so much easier. He kept us updated every single day with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bo was happy and doing well. The transformation when Bo came home was incredible. He is so much more well-behaved, listens so much better, and has manners we honestly didn't think were possible in just two weeks. It's obvious that Carson truly cares about the dogs he works with and puts so much time and effort into their training. If you're considering sending your dog for training, I can't recommend Carson enough. The communication, professionalism, and results exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier. We are so grateful to have found Off Leash K9 training. We sent our Weimaraner Zelda to stay with Carson for two weeks. Being our third dog of this breed we knew how important it was to get her the proper training early on. Weimaraners have endless intelligence and energy, and without proper direction, they can be quite a difficult breed. Zelda has been such a joy since she returned. She loves all people and dogs (no easy feat for a weim) and is so well behaved on and off her leash. She knows what is expected of her and our daily walks and runs are so enjoyable because of it. We live in a close community and neighbors often comment on her excellent demeanor. We immediately direct them to Off Leash. We cannot recommend Carson, Alyssa, and all of the staff enough.
