Off Leash K9 Training, Chicago

Off Leash K9 Training here in Chicago (Lombard to be exact) is where it's at folks. If you are looking for a trainer you don't need to look any further. Alyssa, who was training our boy Tuco (who is a Belgium Malinois) listened to all of our needs for our boy. Tuco was 6 months old when we dropped him off, for the 2 weeks training program, he had the desire to learn and was super playful, but had issues with resource guarding especially with high value food (raw steak/bone) She had our boy for 2 weeks and instilled some positive manners in him and also addressed his resource guarding. She sent us daily updates to keep us informed of his progress and listened to our concerns and answered all of our questions. Here we are a few weeks after training and everything that she has taught him has stuck with him. Tonight we worked on his resource guarding and we gave him a raw bone. He slightly growled, but he immediately dropped his bone and came to me when I called him. (without the bone). Before his training, I could not get any closer than 5 feet and I felt he was gonna take my arm off if I persisted to get any closer. Thank you Alyssa, again, for everything that you have done and having the patience to instill discipline and made our boy a model citizen who I can take anywhere.

This was the absolute best training program! My dog was aggressive/reactive to other dogs. Walking her was always a nightmare and had me stressed out all the time. Taking her anywhere was impossible. We did the 8 week aggressive dog training course. Thanks to Samantha, she’s now able to be around other dogs (and be totally fine) which I never thought would be a possibility! All the training steps we took were completely necessary and helped my dog keep progressing each week. Her final graduation day, we were at a dog friendly mall. She was able to pass other dogs walking by, sit out front of a puppy store, and walk with other dogs too! All things that she used to be uncontrollable around! I really can’t thank Sam enough for all the work she put in with us and giving both myself and my dog a new found confidence! If you have an aggressive or reactive dog, this is the place to come!! I promise you won’t regret it!

I recently took my dog to Off Leash K9. His trainer was Lydia and she took in our our 8 month German shepherd. I expressed the things I felt our dog needed and Lydia delivered. She had him for 2 weeks and it has been a pleasure having our boy back home. My wife and I have a 2 year old daughter so we tend to go on walks and go out a decent amount. Our dog seems very mature and loves to work! Thank yo Lydia for your dedication. We are 3 weeks past his pick up date and it seems like he adjusted to being home so quickly. The training really paid off and was worth it.
