Off Leash K9 Training, Chicago

We have a 1.5 year Doberman girl named Tokyo. When she first met her trainer, Samantha, Tokyo lunged and barked so aggressively and loudly I could barely hear over Tokyo’s barking. Samantha remained calm the entire time and reassured it was ok. We initially signed up for the two-week board and train because Our family was desperate to be able to do something simple as taking her out for a walk in peace. During the two weeks, Samantha was extremely diligent to provide video and descriptive text updates each night without missing a day. It was amazing to see visible changes in my dog through each video. The day I picked Tokyo up, we took her out for a walk outside and for the first time I witnessed my previously aggressive highly reactive dog walk by a group of people without growling or lunging! It was such a joy to see Tokyo in such a calm non-reactive state. Thank you Off Leash K-9 for creating this program and finding gems like Samantha. Samantha is Tokyo’s trainer forever through the 2 week program and Tokyo has so much love for her. Have confidence and sign up for the program, you will not regret it.

Sven did the 8 week Basic and Advanced Training with Sam and could not recommend her more! Sven has always struggled with barrier frustration reactivity and gets really hyper around other dogs - he’s not food motivated either so getting him to listen was such a struggle. Sam built his confidence up so much and really helped Sven focus and pay attention when I never thought he’d be able to. We live in the city and would never be able to walk past dogs on the street or in the elevator without Sven throwing a fit but all of that has gone now. Sven is a confident obedient dog with the same goofy high energy personality he’s always had. He’s earned Offleash privileges at parks and I can trust his recall like never before. I would highly highly recommend Sam as a trainer. She is kind and knowledgeable and has a way with dogs and taught both of us how to communicate and understand each other better. Cannot recommend Matthew M enough! We recently sent our 11 month old Aussie to Matt for the 2 week board and train and we were absolutely blown away with how much our puppy learned! Matt did an amazing job with keeping us up to date with daily messages and videos of how our pup was doing. If you’re hesitant about the price, don’t be! The value of the 2 weeks, the expertise of Matt, and unlimited refresher trainings make it all worth it. Matthew will treat your dog like royalty and you will be speechless with how much they will learn in such a short time! Thank you again, Matthew!

We did the 2-week board and training program and it was amazing!! Carson was our trainer and he taught our dog Lemon basic obedience skills she never had before. He taught us what her love language is and how to fulfill her needs and how to communicate with her. We received daily updates with pictures and videos which always made our day. I HIGHLY recommend the program with Off Leash K9 Training! It's truly life changing!
