Off Leash K9 Training Columbia

We recently completed a board-and-train for my hot mess of a rescue Trini, with trainer Ashley. I was getting very frustrated with Trini, who had a tendency to get overly excited, get nippy with my other dog and, for some reason, my teenage daughter and her friends. A few days prior to her board-and-train, she and my other dog got into a scuffle and Trini had some injuries to her neck and back legs that required daily medications. I reached out to Ashley, and come to find out, Ashley didn’t just have training experience, but veterinary care experience as well. What luck! Mind you, Trini came from a bad situation and is scared of literally everything and everyone (except a select few). I was really worried about leaving her, especially since she was also injured. However, she took to Ashley right away! Ashley sent me progress videos every day, including informal ones. When Ashely sent me a video of my goofy fur baby making herself at home on Ashley’s couch, I was floored. It was clear to me that Ashley was comfortable around “intimidating” dogs and that calm nature was sensed by Trini. The training itself went well for a dog like Trini (she isn’t very bright), but remember that YOU need training as well because it is a process, and you have to keep at it when your pup comes home. Ashley’s 2 hour “human” training taught me how to utilize the tools at home, but ALSO taught me how to better interpret Trini’s behaviors. I definitely recommend this training for anyone who is struggling with their dogs inappropriate behaviors. It’s worth the investment!

I rescued my dog from the pound a few months ago and he's a sweet boy, but he was very reactive with people and other dogs. He's 80 lbs so he was very difficult to control. Professional training was my last option before returning him to the pound, and I just knew that he was completely untrainable. I boarded him with Ashley for 2 weeks and he is a whole different dog. I can now take him outside without worrying about other people and dogs walking by. We can actually have nice peaceful walks in the neighborhood. She has done such an amazing job with him!

Krystal helped us with our new rescue dog we took in and it was an amazing experience. The time you spend there models the gradual release model that equips you to see what training looks like successfully with your dog, practice with them as the trainer supports you, then go home to do on your own. We feel 100% confident implementing the tools we learned while there and know we can reach out if we have any other needs.

We were very worried about not having our dog for 2 weeks, anxiety is my middle name. This decision to go through and send our dog to training has been one of the best decisions we have made as dog owners. Our dog knew basic commands but didn’t like to hold them for lengths of time and can be rambunctious for people coming into the house. Andrea was our trainer and was amazing. Day 1 or having our dog back and she was able to hold a sit the entire time I checked out at a pet store even with another dog barking and jumping towards her. Andrea hands down did a magic spell or something to turn previous difficult tasks for our dog to do, to our dog easily overcoming and being a well behaved fur child. Hands down would recommend Andrea as the trainer to everyone I brag to about how well our dog listens and how well behaved she is now.
