Off Leash K9 Training Columbus

Kyle was Amazing to work with! He spent 2 weeks with Bo our Silver Lab who was very hyper, easily distracted and was terrible to walk on a leash. After 2 weeks Bo came back and not only was great at walking on leash he was able to walk beside me without a leash. No more pulling on my partially torn rotator cuff! Taking him to a park is now so much fun!!! My anxiety and stress level has gone down so much because I'm no longer worried that he was too strong for me. Thanks so much Kyle!!!!

I have a dog that was one of the worst behavior problems one could ask for. She was anti social, reactive, and aggressive. She and my other dog viciously fight, so I have to seperate them. Having been stressed out myself and observed and spoken with multiple dog trainers in the area who I felt were not results driven, and only were taking money and not addressing root causes, I contacted OLK9. Within 30 minutes I was contacted and spoke with Dylan for over an hour. Dylan gave me immediate guidance to best protect my dogs from each other. Gave further guidance on resource guarding, and muzzles. Amazing customer service, even before I signed up with my first dog reached out twice to ensure my dogs were doing okay. Who does that? Rare to find this level of customer satisfaction and care in todays market place. Once I signed up, the trainer (Marty) contacted me and was aware of my issue with my two dogs. He also checked in a few times before my first class and continuously throughout training. Upon arrival to my first class Marty was professional, engaged, knowledgeable, and I was able to see he and the OL trainers are genuine and know their stuff. My dog did everything to inhibit the trainers ability to train her, crocodile rolling attacking him (hence the muzzle training before taking her), non stop barking, she just didn't want any part of discipline. Marty and I continued to work with her and fast forward until her last day of training we had her muzzle off, she was not trying to attack Marty, and was a completely different dog. If you are not willing to put in the work to give your furry friend a better life, do not think OL is a magic pill when your dog fails to meet expectations. It is not easy, i spent a lot of time with my dog, and must spend a lot more, this is ongoing, point is if you are not putting in the time do not expect great results. From my experience it is the owner who fails not the trainer or the dog. I read a review that someone was not happy and felt answers were generic. It is like me giving you lessons to drive your car, best practices are going to be the same regardless of who is instructing, you also need to practice driving. Do not be upset with your drivers ed teacher because you are unable to drive if you are not putting in quality time to practice. Dog training is no different, I can tell you without a doubt Off-Leash vets trainers and are skilled, compassionate, and patient enough to fix or mitigate even the most complex dog problems, providing you as the owner are willing to put in the work as well. I am proof or I should say my dog is proof. She could not go on a walk without lunging, barking, or wanting to fight anyone with in her view. No she is a new dog, because I took and applied what Marty the trainer taught me. I will bring my other dog to Off-Leash and then probably follow up with some individual sessions together. Your not training your dog your training you, to be able to discipline and give your dog a happy life. Is it spendy? It depends, what is your dogs happiness, quality of life, and your happiness worth? I would say money very well spent. Thanks guys, and I look forward to working with you and my dogs in the future. Off-Leash also offers if you are not satisfied after your first lesson, they will refund you. Again a testament to their level of customer service. So when I see someone writing reviews that are clearly a direct result of the individuals failure as a dog owner, that is not fair to Off-Leash they did their part that individual failed to do thiers. We attended the 4 week basic obedience program with our (then) 6 month old German shepherd. Highly intelligent and driven, but to a point of being overly excited when on walks etc. He was great with all basic commands but we were desperate for help with his leash manners. Bottom line- If you are considering attending the training sessions with your dog, THIS IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. Maybe the boarding program works hence the positive reviews but don’t waste your money on anything else!! Paid 500+ for an ecollar and basic training tips that I could have found on the internet for free. You get paired with a random trainer for each session so they don’t get to know your dog in any way. No personalization. Tried to take that aspect into my own hands and ask very specific questions during the training sessions, was met with generic answers, basically “oh more practice will fix it”. Well we finished our sessions months ago and practice nearly every day. Less than satisfied with the results. Tried to reach out to the trainers to ask for advice, as they advertised “reach out to us anytime with questions!” and their advice was to pay for more sessions. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

My 7 year old pit mix just got back from a 2 week board and train with Kyle. To say I’m impressed would be a complete understatement. Bode went from not listening to anything I said outside and jumping all over guests to being a polite dog who listens to commands both inside and out. Throughout the 2 weeks, I received daily updates from Kyle complete with pictures and videos, which made the time away from Bode a little easier. In the short time I’ve had him back with me I am absolutely blown away. I needed just as much help as he did, but I know it will just get better from here. I highly recommend Kyle and Off Leash K9 for anyone thinking about a dog trainer!

I took my 8 month old black lab to Off Leash for a variety of reasons, but primarily due to his excitement around new people and other dogs. I was having a lot of issues getting him to listen when he was overly excited. He trained with Kyle Ferguson with Off Leash K9 under the 1-week board and train program and it was absolutely worth the money. Kyle kept in contact with me daily regarding my dogs performance and sent numerous pictures and videos throughout the week. He took the time to explain everything to me at the end of the week and teach me how to continue the training at home. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of the program as my dog is much more responsive to commands regardless of the environment he is in. I would definitely recommend Off Leash to anyone struggling with training and will be taking my dog back to Kyle should any additional training needs come up.
