Off Leash K9 Training, Duluth

We adopted a 5 year old pit mix who brought with her some terrible habits. Zola's main issue was walking on a leash. She would pull and react terribly when in the presence of another dog. After months of failed attempts to train her ourselves, we sought help from Off leash. And let me tell you, it was worth every penny. I would have no hesitation to reach out to them again if needed. She responded to training on day one. We chose the weekly training at the Duluth location. It's hard work, and requires dedication and patience from the owner. We have to practice everyday. But it's helped our Zola so much. I can now walk her by myself, which was something I wasn't sure I could ever do without my husbands help. The more Zola is exposed to distractions, the easier it is for her not to react. This training definitely works if you are committed.

Absolutely loved my experience with this company. Our trainer, Paige, was very patient and accommodating to my dogs needs. Paige is knowledgeable, kind and very helpful during training sessions. I also had Rob for one session and he gave me a lot of great pointers on my dogs breed and behavior. It takes work at home to enforce the training but it’s nothing too difficult to achieve. I trained my three year old lab Dane mix with Blake using the boarding service two week program earlier this year. My doggo had what I imagine are some of the usual challenges: jump&greet, counter surfing, escape artist, absolutely no door manners, and dragged us when we tried walking with him. He knew basic sit, stay command but chose when he’d decide to follow them. Blake took him and his crazy self and turned him into someone safe to walk around stores OFF Leash! What the what!?!? Our only wish was that we’d be able to walk the dog without being dragged down the street. We got that and so so so much more-Blake taught us with our transition training after boarding how to get our dog to respond. He still has a great fun personality but now recognizes our family hierarchy . It’s amazing. As an update months later, still happy and results work.

Our journey with Off Leash Training started a little over a month ago. When we first met our trainer Paige I was terrified, I was so scared she was going to say she couldn’t help us. We have a extremely reactive human aggressive dog named Chance. Chance came to us back in Nov of 2018 at 6 months old. I don’t know a lot of his backstory but I do know he was a strictly outdoor “guard dog” in the making. When he joined our family our intentions were the opposite. We wanted him to be friendly and inviting to everyone. We had a small amount of time where he was accepting of some people but he definitely wasn’t and never will be a cuddle me, kiss me, pet me all day kind of dog that is with the exception of me. The bond Chance and I have is truly something I never knew existed. A lot has happened since Chance came into our lives but the last year and a half he has completely 100% withdrawn from accepting anyone that isn’t apart of our live in family. My husband and I started discussing getting him into training in late December but didn’t take the leap until May of this year. I was scared to take him to a trainer because I didn’t think anyone could help us. I was scared he would do something that would make me lose him so I kept him away from everyone and everything. The day I met Paige I had 0 confidence in myself as his handler. I was beyond ashamed but Paige helped me believe in myself again and I will forever be grateful for her. Chance has made SO much progress over our sessions with her, she has been so responsive and helpful way beyond what she is paid to do. Nothing but incredible things have happened since joining Off Leash Training, we could not have asked for a better person to have on our side. Paige, Thank you for your knowledge and compassion. Thank you for your understanding and sincere want for nothing but the best for Chance and our family. You seriously have no idea how grateful we are ❤️
