Off Leash K9 Training, Erie

Great experience at K9 Boot Camp / puppy class! I really appreciated the focus on best practices and, especially, training the owner so we can better support our dogs when training one-on-one. I completed the class with a scared and stubborn 7-mo. old Chihuahua/Min Pin mix. It was nice to learn from the other individuals in the class and from the questions they posed. The five weeks were well worth the value, and I learned a lot. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with the 2 week board and train for my beagle Goose. Rachel was very good at explaining everything to me as I had a lot of questions before even signing up. Not only are they great at explaining everything but I would get updates with pictures and videos every day going over what Goose learned that day and seeing it in action. One thing I would mention to anyone interested in this is that your dog isn't going to just come home after and do everything like a robot. My dog knew his training but it took a solid couple of days for him to realize that his training came home with him and he needs to listen like he did for the trainer. Before this training I could not let my dog off leash ever as he would go nose to the ground and be gone without listening to a word I would say. Now my dog is completely off leash every time we go outside and even at my parents house and I am confident that I can recall him even with distractions. Is this training great? Yes absolutely. But one important thing that I want people to know is that you have to continue the work that the trainer did. My dog is a stubborn breed and he gets stubborn with me here and there, but that's part of it becoming his new normal. I had to go out in the yard every other night and work with him on recall and commands for a solid week or two. Now it's only a couple nights a week, but it takes time for it to really get engrained into your dog. At least that's how it is with my dog as he has a very strong prey drive. All in all, I am extremely happy with Rachel and I would recommend her to anyone. She took my stubborn beagle and got him to actually acknowledge me and listen outside with distractions. My dog is now living a great life with freedom and being able to run and play in the yard off leash.

Rachel was awesome with our 2 year old Sheppard. It was so worth the cost of the classes. He listens to commands and has calmed down when around other people and animals. Nothing gets fixed over night but when you work with people who explain things and truly care about the outcome things do drastically improve! Thank you so much for all the help you've given to us.
