Off Leash K9 Training of Maine

Haley did such an amazing job with my 1 year old Pit mix, Ace! Before going to the 2 week board and train in July, Ace couldn’t leave our house without a leash. He now has the freedom to run around off leash, walks almost perfectly on leash and overall is so much more engaged with me! Haley sent video updates of what they were working on everyday and continues to check in on his progress since being home. She has been so helpful answering any questions I have had! Can’t recommend Haley & Off Leash K9 Training enough!

I cannot recommend this training program and my trainer, Haley, enough! I think that e collar training would be beneficial for all dogs, but was especially helpful for my very anxious/reactive/protective mini dachshund puppy and I! Before working with Haley, I could barely take Billie outside to go to the bathroom without her chasing squirrels, trying to run up trees, and reacting at every dog/bike/ human that went by our house. Billie was also to anxious to leave the property and we could never go on a proper walk. Haley helped to build Billie’s confidence and we are now able to enjoy walks, stores, outdoor dining, and lots of other activities together! And now I am able to give her the freedom to roam off leash in dog friendly places. Billie rarely barks at any noises while we are at home and is so much more relaxed here as well! I had a lot of questions about the program beforehand. I was able to set up a call with Marcy and she answered all of them! Haley kept me informed with photos and videos throughout the two weeks and answered all my many questions. Haley has been there for support after I brought Billie home and we have even had one very beneficial refresher session. Haley and the team at Off Leash k9 changed mine and Billie’s lives!

We sent our eight month old ill behaved puppy to Austin for the two week training. When Wilson came home the change in his behavior was quite amazing. Austin was truly fantastic and Wilson is now the love of our life. He is totally off leash and in our control and a very well behaved big boy. He just turned one and weighs 95 pounds and continues to do as we ask him to. We have recommended Off Leash K9 to many, as we can speak firsthand to the amazing results.We cannot say enough for Austin and his kindness, he was always available and ready to take my many phone calls to help reassure me that we were on track. We look forward to bringing a second dog into our household and you can rest assured our puppy will be headed off to two weeks with Austin!

We are very fortunate to have a dog who is naturally very sweet, friendly, and responsive. However, after a little over a year with him, we were having some trouble cementing the basics of good family dog behavior - for example, getting him to not jump when greeting people, to stop pulling on leash, or to return when called. After using K9's dog training services, I cannot believe our success and progress with our big puppy. He will walk the neighborhood with us off leash without straying; he will sit calmly as we do chores or have dinner, without begging; he listens so much better, is attentive, and follows commands almost immediately, rarely needing additional corrections. Despite how much better he follows commands, he remains his goofy, sweet, playful self - he is more disciplined, but his lovely personality is still 100% there. While it would be foolish to think all the work as dog owners is done for us after a relatively short training session, I now feel like our puppy has the behavioral basics for us to successfully continue training and raising him. He was always a joy to have in our home and family, but K9 has vastly improved our relationship with our dog, and has made our lives significantly easier. I now feel like we can trust our dog to behave and follow directions in new environments, and can trust him to stay nearby. Austin, our trainer, did an amazing job, was easy and flexible to work with, and I am incredibly satisfied with the service. Probably one of the best decisions with our dog that we have made.
