Off Leash K9 Training Tampa

We cannot recommend Ernie enough. We dropped off our six-year-old Chihuahua who completely ruled our house. He was biting people — even family members — couldn’t be walked on a leash, and would lose his mind whenever he saw other dogs, bikes, or even people walking nearby. We honestly felt hopeless. We quite walking him or taking him anywhere besides our backyard. Within the first 24 hours of having him home after training, we saw changes we truly never thought were possible. He frequently bit over meal times. Whether it was our feet as we got up from the table or our other dog. The first night we put him in his place by command. He stayed calmly in his place through an entire family meal without getting off once. On a walk, another dog barked and reacted aggressively at him, and after one correction he immediately went back into a perfect heel and ignored the distraction. We also passed multiple adults exercising without any corrections needed at all. He was terrified of loud noises and would dart off his leash on a walk with any truck or motorcycle. The biggest moment for us was during nearby construction with loud trucks and constant movement. We placed him in a stay in our driveway while taking the trash out, and despite all the noise and distractions, he held his position until released. The transformation has been unbelievable. Ernie didn’t just train our dog — he gave us peace in our home again. Thank you doesn’t feel like enough.

I wish I could have had all of the experiences that are reflected in the reviews but that is not the case for me. This was a WAY overpriced glorified e collar course and nothing more. It took me so long to write this review out of honestly being a genuinely nice person and over standing but I can’t anymore. Someone wrote a review about it feeling like a sales product more than personal training and they are spot on. There are people who do e collar training for way less if I knew that’s all this was. The trainer seemed way more interested in how healthy of a frenchie my dog was rather than the training. When he brought my dog back to me, my dog was BEYOND exhausted like to the point where he wasn’t even walking at all regular pace. He also told me that my dogs reactivity was completely gone (not true at all!!) and initially said he would be able to tell me why he was having the reactions he does and never did. My dog didn’t react to other dogs or anything when I met him on the return because again he was exhausted out of his mind. This was not a good way to show me that my dog has been trained. I was initially happy to receive the training videos but they were all super edited and never showed my dog having training on his reactivity with other dogs which I stated multiple times was the main issue. The training videos were just of him walking in stores or staying put with no other dogs around which are things I never had issues with in the first place. I even had to reach out to see how he was doing or get a video a few times. I am so disappointed at paying THOUSANDS of dollars for this!!! I gave 2 stars because of course the e collar is somewhat helpful but I got this to get to the root of the issue, not a bandaid and a less than interested trainer. There is the guarantee of support afterwards and I reached out a couple of times but the response was so generic. I am SO on top of training my dog everyday even before I paid for this so I can 1000% say with certainty it isn’t because I haven’t been doing the work. His reactivity was the one thing I hadn’t been able to tackle because of what I suspect is his anxiety and this did not help at all. I’ve spent a year just reflecting on the money I wasted. It’s a shame.

Ernie did an incredible job working with Luna, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From the very beginning, he was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what he does. Luna has become so much calmer and more confident thanks to his training techniques. One of the biggest changes we’ve seen is how well Luna has adjusted to her new baby brother. Instead of being anxious or overly excited, she’s gentle, relaxed, and clearly understands her role in the family now. It’s been amazing to watch the transformation.
