Jamie,<br><br>We’re sorry to hear you feel that way, and we certainly understand being frustrated if you felt the program did not meet your expectations. That said, we do want to clarify a few points because the review does not fully reflect the communication and work that took place during your program.<br><br>We have text communication from your trainer specifically checking in on Outlaw's reactivity and progress. When asked how she was doing, you responded, “actually really good. I took her for a run yesterday and forgot a reg collar so we ran off leash for 2.5 and passed a few dogs- I warned her with slight stim and she stayed with me.” On another occasion, when asked how the positional work was going, you replied, “She’s so freakin smart. Really good!” Based on those responses, it appeared that you were seeing positive progress with the areas being worked on.<br><br>Your trainer also went outside of the scheduled lesson time to work with Outlaw in higher-distraction environments, including going to Scheels during particularly busy times, such as 7:00 PM on a Saturday. He also made a point of asking if there were specific things you wanted to work on during your lessons.<br><br>We also want to clarify expectations surrounding our lesson programs. An hour-long lesson once a week is not intended to be the entirety of a dog’s training. Consistent daily work and practice at home are a very important part of making progress between lessons.<br><br>You also mentioned several times that you were looking for Service Dog training. While we are happy to help with obedience and behavior foundations, we do not provide the specialized task training required for service dogs. That type of training is also not something that would typically be completed through an 8-lesson program. Service dog task training can require many months or even years of consistent work depending on the individual dog and tasks involved. In Josie’s case, her reactivity also needed to be addressed as a foundation before progressing toward more advanced work, and based on your own messages, it appears that she was making meaningful progress in that area.<br><br>Finally, we checked with our office regarding the claim that your messages were ignored. We do not have any record of receiving the three communications mentioned in your review, so there was nothing for our office to respond to or intentionally ignore.
