Off Leash K9 Training, Wilmington

I have a five-year-old female German Shepherd who worked with trainer Bradley for 8 weeks. Since beginning training with Off Leash K9 Training, my dog has changed dramatically in her interactions with other people and dogs alike. Bradley was patient and very knowledgeable on all aspects of training and made sure that I understood the dynamics of my dog and how to "speak" her language. Five stars all around. Bradley is the very best thing to walk into our lives this year! When I first contacted Off Leash K9 Training, I knew my boy, Atticus, was incredibly smart and had it in him to be a good boy. But as a rather large puppy, he was quick to show defiance with me, quick to run off if he could find a way to push through a cracked door, and even quicker to pull me face down in the dirt when he saw a squirrel on our walks. He was always sweet, but also always had his own ideas. I didn't have the highest hopes when putting him through training. I was convinced that he was just too headstrong and stubborn. But we hit the lottery with Bradley, who has schooling centered around Animal Behavior. It was so beneficial to learn the right training methods, while being able to learn WHY Atticus was doing all the naughty things. You wouldn't believe the transformation. It's like Bradley secretly cloned our sweet boy, but without the behavioral issues. The dog that singled me out to be defiant with now listens to me and GETS EXCITED when I ask him if he's ready to get to work and do some training! The dog that ran away now freely roams the yard and STAYS WITHIN HIS BOUNDARIES!! The dog that pulled and pulled and pulled on leash (literally to the point of making himself sick) is now heeling OFF LEASH AND WITH NO COMMAND!!! None of this would be the case without Bradley. He knew exactly why Atticus was behaving the way he would, and knew exactly how to train him (and us) for each individual situation. This is such a relief! I am very aware that I have a dog that looks big and scary and is a breed that is regularly "demonized" and feared. I was terrified that he was going to jump up to give kisses to the wrong person, it be misconstrued, and end up in a nightmare situation. I was losing sleep over the thought of him getting loose, running into the yard of am aggressive dog, and the consequences that could follow. Let me ve clear that Atticus is not aggressive (he is actually scared of vacuums, brooms, mops, plastic bags, and skateboards). But he is an "aggressive breed" and I'm hyper aware of the stigma. Bradley has given me peace of mind. He's given us a firm foundation to continue with Good Citizen Dog and Psychiatric Service Dog training. I was so tickled to hear that Atticus was 90% of the way to successfully carrying out tasks of a Good Citizen Dog. I would not have believed it 2 months ago. But Bradley was a miracle who helped us help our Atticus be the very best boy that he always had in him. I am forever thankful for Bradley's expertise, the solid foundation he has helped build with us, and for what comes next! Just look at my sweet little smoosh face graduate!

Our experience was extremely positive. My dog walks better on a leash, pays more attention to me when faced with distractions and Bradley was very responsive to any concerns I had. My training was personalized to my needs. Remi had the best walk of his life today. I did not have to correct him at all, he pulled lightly a couple of times and corrected himself before I even needed to. He sat when a group of people came up to us, he visited them, checked back in with me (for Cheerios) then visited them again- no jumping. He was a model canine citizen today. Thank you for what you do!

I have nothing but extreme thanks for Bradley. He was absolutely amazing for us. We had two different dogs go through trainings with him. Pepper, 3 year old maltipoo, was our first to attend the basic obedience sessions. She struggled with stubbornness and unwillingness to listen at all, and lacked confidence. She also pulled on the leash and acted wild the second she stepped foot outside. The first session it took 40 minutes just for her to follow a simple command she’s know for two years. But by the end of all training sessions, she adored Bradley and listened to every command with ease. She has been so much better at home, more relaxed, more confident, and overall just a better pup. Louie, 6 month goldendoodle, was our other pup, and he went through a one week board and train. Louie was extremely wild on a leash, constantly pulling in every direction, and got so excited when he saw people and dogs that he couldn’t control himself at all. He was also starting to struggle with obeying commands at home. After one week Louie came home and I am now able to enjoy walks again. He walks right beside me, doesn’t pull on the leash, and just gets a little excited now when he sees dogs/people which I expected still and we will continue to work through. He also has a great recall now and loves to be on place! Bradley answered every single one of my questions I had every time I needed something. He has continuously given the effort I needed from a trainer after being weary from another experience I had. He is absolutely wonderful, he loves the pups so much and is so intelligent when it come to training. I am so thankful I was able to have him as our trainer and if I ever need anything in the future with any pups I have he will absolutely be my go to!

Best decision I could have made for my 2-year-old rescue. When I adopted Winston, I knew he had lived in multiple homes over his short life and had been abused in his previous home. Once he got comfortable in the home and realized he was staying with me, he became reactive towards people regardless of if they were approaching or just walking by. I couldn't take him on a walk without him growling and barking at anyone or anything that passed by. Kristen completely changed the relationship between Winston and I and everyone surrounding us. After completing the 8-week basic & advance package, I not only take him on walks, but he's great at the park, stores, and anywhere else we go together. I finally feel comfortable leaving my house and bringing him with me. Kristen is so knowledgeable on what she teaches, she's patient with your furry friends as well as you. I truly felt like she cared about wanting me to learn what needed to be changed and then allowed me to work through it with my dog, rather than just taking over! You can tell she loves furry friends and cares about her job! Highly recommend this company, and Kristen. Worth every penny!
