We can’t say enough good things about Rick at the Kernersville location. His patience and kindness with Red were truly amazing. We enrolled our 5-month-old Red Heeler (Red Dog) in the 2-week board and train program, and the results exceeded our expectations. Rick took all that puppy energy and transformed it into a focused, confident little guy. Red now handles every situation with confidence. His training is outstanding—his leash heel is perfect, he walks beautifully on a loose leash, and his off-leash recall is spot on. His “place” command and ability to hold it are impressive, and his door manners and kennel command are consistent every time. Rick also does a fantastic job with socialization. He incorporates field trips, exposure to other dogs, and training sessions with both children and adults in busy, chaotic environments like playgrounds and Lowe’s. That real-world experience made a huge difference. We’re so glad we chose Off Leash. Red is now a confident, well-behaved companion, and we feel completely confident bringing him into social settings. We take Red and our 4-year-old Blue Heeler, Luke, everywhere with us. They’re both great with people and other dogs, and Red has become the perfect companion for our lovable goofball, Luke. They’re best buddies—and since we’ve had Red from 8 weeks old, there’s never a dull moment! Thanks Rick Lynn & Steve

We came to OffLeash K9 Training with a unique scenario for a large, 6-yr old dog. Loki will be flying overseas with his dog-dad to be reunited with his dog-mom who has relocated for work. After a few basic training sessions in the facility, we moved our sessions to public locations (Lowe’s, Tractor Supply, an outdoor park) to apply his training to practical experience. Since Loki will be traveling on a flight, in-cabin with multiple dogs, his trainer Darian planned his last training session with multiple trainers, their dogs, and some current dogs-in-training all together in the facility training room. After a controlled introduction, Loki’s focus on his owner was tested to the max with an overload of activity and distractions around him. This was a fabulous, real-life, practical exercise. Through these challenges, Loki remained calm, focused on his human and responded to instruction. OffLeash K9 Training and particularly our trainer Darian did a great job. She geared her training lessons specifically to our needs by changing locations and the external stimuli. She made it fun for Loki and his humans. Loki now has the tools to make his travels (airport, tarmac, cabin) a less stressful and safer experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Darian and the board and train program here at Off Leash K9. Leaving your dog with someone else is always a little nerve-racking, but Darian made the entire experience incredibly reassuring from the very beginning. She is not only an excellent trainer, but also has a veterinary background, which gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing Sadie was in knowledgeable and caring hands. It’s clear she truly understands dogs and treats them with patience, consistency, and genuine care. Throughout the process she was communicative, professional, and attentive to Sadie’s needs. I could tell Sadie wasn’t just being trained — she was truly being cared for. For example, Sadie was being a picky eater at first from being away from home, so Darian went out and bought food toppers and other things to help get her to eat better. When we offered to reimburse her, she wouldn’t accept it. That really showed her caring heart and how much she loves what she does. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your dog while also helping them build better behavior and structure, I highly recommend Darian. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and that makes all the difference.

Our German Short-Haired Pointer, Maggie, started her training when she was about 7 months old. She had 4 sessions with Darian. Darian was very thorough with her explanations of the e-collar and proper usage. Each session Maggie was taught a new skill. As her owner, I was able to watch the trainer work with her and then practice it with Maggie myself. The honest feedback and patience with my questions allowed us to practice accurately at home in between sessions. Maggie is able to follow these commands- sit, come, off, place, heel, and down. She now enjoys lots of playing in the backyard, walks on a slack leash with no pulling (with or without distractions), plays well with other dogs/children, and loves us without conditions! Thank you Darian and Off-Leash- 10/10 recommend!!!

Dugan graduated from OLK9 level 1 obedience training with FLYING COLORS . Our trainer David was very patient and encouraging as I was a bit of a slow Lerner with the timing and commands. But he and Dugan stuck it out! Dugan is a 1yo Wheaten Terrier and I was skeptical, but David just said… “hold my beer” and Dugan took to the training right away! Highly recommend!
