Believe it or not, to say Jesse was a life saver is not an overstatement. We rescued our 2 year old Doberman/Rottweiler mix from the shelter. He had already escaped the list to be put down once, and was on the list again. He was one of the oldest residents of the shelter. He had a calm demeanor in the cage- didn’t bark like the other dogs. He seemed friendly and not too crazy, and I knew that his breed makes a good watch dog. However, When we brought him home, it became apparent that I was out of my league. He barked constantly when in the crate and became very possessive of me, and dog aggressive. Even having owned several dogs, I had never experienced a dog like that this. My toddler was in tears at the loud barking and I thought my only option was to take him back to the shelter, where I knew he would be put down. I was beside myself- then I reached out to Jesse. He assured me that our dog, Rocko, could be helped and if we were willing to put in the work, he would be a great dog for our family. I took Rocko first thing the next morning. Jesse taught me that all of the things I knew about dogs were wrong. I was the one who needed to change- more than Rocko. Jesse is patient and kind, but firm. He knows his stuff, there is no question- and the dogs know it too. He is a great teacher and answered all of my questions, even if I had already asked them. He is really committed to helping his clients succeed. I had the pleasure of watching him with a few other dogs besides mine- and they just fell into line. It was like a super power. Working with Jesse has opened up a a whole new world of possibilities for us. Four lessons (total) with Jesse later -and Rocko is walking loose leash, he doesn’t bark in the kennel or wake me up at 4am. He just made a new dog friend and is an all around pleasure to be around. The transformation is amazing- and totally worth every penny. In our case, we for to rescue Rocko, skip the puppy phase, AND end up with a super well behaved dog.

What a great experience! Our dog is a Great Dane/Husky mix that was very reactive to other dogs and some people. We tried everything before bringing him to OffLeash in Bakersfield. The transformation of our dog has been amazing! Jessie really helped give us the tools to understanding the psychology of why he was behaving aggressively towards other dogs, and also how to teach him to eliminate those behaviors. We will definitely be back to continue lessons. We couldn’t be happier.

-Overall the training Archie received and the education we received regarding proper use of the E-collar from Bakersfield K9 Offleash board and training has been life changing. I recommend k9 training to everyone who wants peace of mind with their dogs as they experience more freedom. Archie, our golden retriever puppy, received training from Jesse and his team last November. We received frequent videos showing his progress during his stay. Archie was very reactive and a ball of uncontrollable energy making it difficult for him to follow simple commands and/or take on a walk without vacuuming the streets or darting for birds/ cats etc. It’s been almost a year since his training and we remain forever grateful to the people who created this program and trained Archie. We have a more happier dog who can accompany us on daily errands as well as run around the park leash free. Knowing that refresher courses exist for free is another plus to the program. Jesse, the trainer, also responded quickly to follow-up questions before and after the training. Thank u Bakersfield k9 off Leash training staff for all of your help. Polite, professional, efficient, caring and life changing is how I would describe the Bakersfield k9 off leash training.
