Ohana K9 Academy - Dog Training, Boarding & Dog Daycare

This past week, my two toy poodles completed their 8-week board-and-train puppy program at Ohana K9 with trainer Tobin. They started the program just shy of 5 months old. We chose Ohana K9 after looking at reviews online, and when we reached out with questions, they were very prompt, professional, and kind over the phone and via text. The facility is clean and very well maintained. When we toured the facility, all the dogs were healthy and happy. They had multiple staff members tending to the dogs in kennels and outside. Our trainer, Tobin, is nothing short of amazing! He did such a great job with our boys over the weeks, and the pups made great progress throughout the program. They can now do all basic commands, they’re great on a leash, they’re much more social, and can recall and heel, with the potential for off-leash walking. Tobin is a great communicator and gave us daily updates and videos of what the dogs were working on and how they were doing. You can genuinely tell he cares about and loves our pups! They use the Gingr app for scheduling and progress reports, but if it was glitchy, he would just text us to ensure we were updated. If you choose to do this program, my only recommendation is that you make sure to continue and reinforce the training when your dog is home. Your dog is at board-and-train from Monday through Thursday, so it is vital to reinforce the training when the dog is home with you. When you pick up your dog, you receive a lesson and instructions on what to do at home. We really enjoyed having our pups at Ohana K9 and plan to take them back for the adult program to continue building on what they learned in the puppy program. I can’t say enough great things about all the trainers, kennel techs, and employees at this facility! They have great teamwork and genuinely love the dogs and what they do.

Our time at Ohana was amazing! My pup completed a 4-week puppy program and learned obedience, self-regulation, and walking manners. Everyone there was so sweet and welcoming especially her trainer Andrew. Since finishing training, my pup has been to boarding, and I couldn’t be happier with how they do it. They have someone there 24/7 watching the dogs and give them lots of time to play with other dogs, which has been great for socialization. Overall I highly recommend the services they provide.

I can’t say enough great things about Ohana k9! From day one, they’ve been professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They took the time to understand my dog’s behavior and tailored their approach perfectly—no one-size-fits-all methods here. The results have been incredible. My dog is more confident, better behaved, and I feel more equipped as an owner too. What really stands out is how much they truly care—not just about the dogs, but about building strong relationships between pets and their owners. If you’re looking for a trainer who is patient, effective, and truly dedicated, this is the one. Highly recommend! Loui is the best 😀

What can I say about Ohana K9 and our trainer Chuyee? Chuyee transformed Chip, my Doberman mix, from an owner possessive dog that would not let family and friends approach him to now a dog that wants to be around other people. Chuyee is an amazing trainer that not only helped Chip but also gave me the tools needed to address Chip's behaviors with daily videos and our weekly meetings. I really appreciated Chuyee coming to my home for reinforcement and being available after the training finished. Chuyee and the entire team treated Chip as their own and I highly recommend Ohana K9.
