Olde Towne School For Dogs

Be absolutely certain and careful with the products you buy because if you have a problem with them there is a good chance you are stuck with it. Attempted to return/exchange a dog harness I bought 2 weeks ago. I had the receipt, but not the "packaging" (i.e. a piece of cardboard zip tied to the harness). I wanted to return the harness due to its inability to appropriately guide and allow (or disallow) corrections while walking my dog. The harness was specifically recommended by one of their male dog trainers. The harness had been used as it had grass stains on the front. I understand I refund may be a stretch, but not to extend an exchange to a product that is not working the way it should is abysmal customer service.

This “training” school literally uses torture to train your dog. Absolutely 100% negative reinforcement. Pain is used to control your dog. My vet has found wounds on my dogs neck due to pulling prongs and shocks. I felt uncomfortable walking into this place because of the elementary school bullies type atmosphere. For some reason they seem to think they’re the top of the hierarchy when they’re really quite foolish. They seem gossipy and childish. Why the owner accepts this is beyond me. I’ve had someone with a positive reinforcement take over my training and the difference is incredible. No yelling, no abuse. I very much mean abuse when speaking of this place. Go elsewhere.

My pupper Bonnie graduated from Olde Towne School today - woohoo! Aliyah was our trainer for 3 weeks. She is absolutely amazing, patient and kind. Bonnie used to be terrible on leash and bark at other dogs out of excitement. Thanks to Aliyah, she's a reformed pup! We already signed up for the graduate class and will be signing up for the off leash program ❤️ Update 3/22/25: Bonnie completed her off leash/advanced program today. Aliyah delivered again and Bonnie does great off leash. We love our Olde Towne School fam. Thank you ❤️
