Olde Towne School For Dogs

I can’t recommend Olde Town School for Dogs enough! Leo recently graduated from the three-week day school training program, and he’s made so much progress thanks to the incredible guidance of his trainer, Saul. Not only did Saul train Leo, but he also took the time to train me – helping me understand how to communicate with my dog and reinforce his new skills at home. Saul is patient, knowledgeable, and knew exactly how to bring out the best in Leo. In our private sessions, he went beyond the basics, teaching me how to handle common behavior issues and helping me feel more confident as a dog owner. Saul made sure I understood each step so that Leo and I could keep up the training together. The entire staff at Olde Town School of Dogs was just as wonderful. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about each dog that walks through the door. From the friendly greetings at drop-off to the detailed updates on Leo’s progress, every interaction left me feeling supported and reassured. I highly recommend to any dog parent looking for top-notch training and a wonderful community. Leo and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to joining more training programs with them!

We worked with Old Towne School for Dogs for our dog, a 5 yr old rescue german shep aussie mix. We were having some significant issues with our dog, including lunging, and we were worried about it. We worked with Aliyah, the trainer, and she was absolutely amazing. We were losing hope with Nala as she worked with other trainers and no one really worked with us on finding solutions to train Nala out of her fear and anxiety. In 8-weeks Nala became a more confident dog. She walks on leash well, she unafraid to walk at night now, she is able to socialize with people a bit more, and with the right structure and set up she is able to also be open to pets from strangers. Aliyah was an incredible help, she bonded well with our dog and for the first time, in all the trainers we worked with, Nala opened up to her and loves her belly rubs and pets from Aliyah. The trainer we worked with also came to our home for an in home assessment and gave us great feedback. Noting - we are 8.5 months pregnant which is why we seeked more support for our dog and her transition. We feel more confident in the upcoming transition for our dog and are grateful for having an excellent, fear and anxiety free trainer. Can't recommend Aliyah and Old Towne School for Dogs enough! It's 5 stars!

My australian shepherd rescue was recently trained at the Olde Towne School for dogs through their day school program over three weeks and included about 36 lessons. I met with his trainer for a free consult, Patrice Lemmer, and signed him up that day. I was impressed with Patrice's experience and personality. My dog clearly had no prior training and definitely needed it to survive and thrive in an urban neighborhood. Patrice did a great job of working with him, and especially important to me, came up with a solution to his constant reactivity to moving bicycles and scooters. The OTSD has many experienced trainers and they really know what they are doing. Unlike a lot of other trainers who show you how to train your dog, they train your dog for you, then show you what your dog learned that week and how to continue the training at home. Training my rescue dog in three weeks was a miracle. They are located in historic Old Town in a cute building and are all very helpful to offer good advice. I always found free parking close by and found it to be a very enjoyable experience and fun to go in and see all the different dog breeds being trained there. I highly recommend Patrice and would definitely use her for any additional training.
