OLK9 HAWAII

What an amazing experience my 8mo old golden doodle, Olive and I had with our trainer Nicole from Off Leash K-9!!! Olive is a 44 lb. rambunctious doodle who acts crazy and out of control jumping/pushing and mouthing and pulling like crazy on the leash before this training. My elderly Mom lives with us and she actually accidentally tripped Mom giving her a knee injury that required surgery. I was desperate to get her behavior under control before she injured my Mom again. We signed up for the 2 week board and train and I picked up Olive this morning. Nicole worked with Olive and I for 2.5 hrs before we were free to go (mostly I needed the training today!) on all the commands Olive learned while she was with Nicole. This training program utilizes a training e-collar to teach commands. I was so hesitant and nervous to sign up for the training because of this because I had heard about e-collars. BUT…it was not at all what I thought an e-collar would be. It is NOT a shock collar. It IS like a Tens unit I use on myself every night for my knees. Before the board and train, I had Nicole use the collar stimulator on me and I was amazed that the stimuli really did feel like a Tens unit. I was actually surprised that it could elicit the desired response with training. But after seeing all Olive had learned I am just amazed and so happy that we signed up for this program. Nicole has been the most awesome trainer. She is so loving with Olive and reassuring to me. She gained our trust right off the bat at the preliminary training 2 weeks before boarding. Olive and I have a lot of work to do reinforcing what we learned from Nicole. With patience and consistency I am determined to help Olive to become a well mannered puppy…I sincerely feel like this program has set us up for a wonderful life together. I can’t recommend OLK9 and Nicole enough. I am so happy we got the referral from Mom’s orthopedic surgeon! You won’t be sorry if you take the plunge and trust in this program and their trainers…especially if you get (or request) Nicole! Review from a happy doodle Mom and Olive ❤️

Our puppy Logan attended the three week board and train with Nicole and although we missed him - he came back to us as a perfect gentleman! Nicole listened to all of our concerns and explained how she would address each of them. She sent pictures, videos and an explanation of what Logan was working on each day so we knew exactly what he was up to and how he was progressing. It was clear that he was having fun and was learning a lot! We were a little afraid that the training would take some of his goofy personality away - but he is just as goofy without getting in trouble all day! Five stars just isn’t enough for the training and for Nicole. The results that we are now enjoying would not be possible without all of the love and dedication that she gave to our little boy!

We went to off-leash for individual classes and loved them! Made a huge difference and allowed us to learn ways to train and correct Oden. But wanted to do more with our GSD and decided to try 3 week board and train. Crystal made it an amazing experience! With daily pics and updates we had no stress or worries. After we picked up Oden he was excited and executed commands flawlessly! He was sad to leave Crystal, but no hard feelings! He clearly enjoyed her and and can't wait to keep learning and be able to go public with no stress of Odens behavior.

Our experience with OLK9 Hawaii was amazing! Our trainer Crystal was very knowledgeable on what our Poodle Kalena needed. She was very flexible with our training schedule and extremely patient with us as owners if we needed a little extra guidance to see the results we wanted. We had 8 training sessions and Crystal was always happy to readdress anything we were having trouble with and would ask what we thought needed more attention. We are now confident that our dog will be well mannered in various situations and that is all thanks to OLK9 Hawaii!
