I am so happy with the training my Pono and I received from Crystal at K9 Off Leash Training. Pono is 125 lbs of big dog and I’m an old lady. My husband primarily cares for Pono but I have to occasionally walk him. I went to training desperate for help and was skeptical that Pono could be trained since he was already 3 years old. Crystal was very patient and explained everything to me step by step over the few months of training we received. Even my husband was impressed with the results. I couldn’t believe when we were at one of the last lessons where we went walking through Lowe’s! Crystal even guided Pono to stand on one of the carts and I was able to push him around the store for a little bit. So amazing and transformational! There’s a lot more to tell about our experiences but I’ll leave it at that. I’ll end by saying don’t be afraid of the stim collar. It’s simply a tool to get your dog’s attention. I rarely, if ever, have to use it at all at this point and it’s only for safety such as if Pono is about to run into the street, which he doesn’t do anymore. So if you are in search of an excellent training facility, I highly recommend you check out K9 Off Leash. It’s worth every cent.

We enrolled our 3-year old, 60+ lb. Labradoodle, Cooper, in a 3-week board & train session. We were desperate to find someone to help train our lovable and energetic but unruly canine. My husband & are “senior” parents to Cooper. Also, relative to our size, Cooper is a “big boy”, and he has easily over-powered us. We also have little grandchildren and Cooper is not kid-friendly. Thank goodness for Off Leash K9 Hawaii! We can’t say enough good things about the amazing training that Cooper received from “Uncle” Loren Kearney! Daily videos were sent to us keeping updated on his training. These videos now also serve as easy instructional review of all the basic but essential commands Cooper learned that I can easily reference. We were so impressed with where Loren would take Cooper for training each day - to beach parks, shopping malls, open markets, strolls in Waikiki during the day & also at night, food courts and a sit & listen session at Center Stage for a musical performance! Previous to his training we wouldn’t dare to take Cooper to any busy public place. At the end of the 3 weeks after Cooper had “graduated”, and included with the training, we received 2.5 hours of instructions on the use of the e-collar and how to properly use it. However, what truly has me impressed has been the follow-up contact with Loren post-training! Within a day or two, I realize I needed clarification on some of the training instructions. Uncannily, before I reached out to him for post-training tips, Loren contacted me to ask how we were doing! We have also met with Loren for a follow-up training session! Loren truly has impressed us with his genuine concern for us and Cooper and his continuing support and encouragement. He has emphasized to us that he is committed to help us fine-tune our training with Cooper! Thank you, Loren! We are truly grateful!

My wife and I entrusted our puppy Murphy to Off Leash K9 for training. Murphy is a lovable seven month old bernadoodle, but he has a TON of energy and it was hard to keep him focused. This is to be expected, but we still wanted him well trained. OLK9 trainer Crystal was Murphy's trainer. After the three week program, Murphy is still an energetic puppy, but my goodness he is well trained. He stays at a heel off leash flawlessly. We put him on a sit or at a down and he is so good staying in place. His manners when we eat are fantastic. His recall is excellent, which is so comforting. During the training, Crystal kept us up on his progress and sent us pictures and video daily. Our time spent with Crystal when we picked our pup was great! She spent hours with us showing us everything he could do, training us on how to keep him on track and answering all of our questions. We are so happy with Crystal and OLK9 Hawaii. We highly recommend this company and hope that if you want your dog highly trained by professionals, you to will use them.
