FirstBarkSent my 1 year old lab out here. I kept reading the dogs come back like a different dog. This is 100% true! He can sit still while you have a conversation with people. Definitely will recommend One Shot Retrievers to anyone wanting an obedient dog.

Grant and Alex Huff have a combined 35 years experience training dogs to an advanced level for AKC hunt tests, duck hunting, and obedience. They both grew up in East Texas with a love for duck hunting and dogs, which eventually led them to a career working with dogs of all breeds. They love seeing dogs reach their full potential and bridging the knowledge gap between clients and their pets. I have already recommended One Shot Retrievers to at least 4 people back home and highly recommend them to anyone looking for truly effective and professional dog training. Grant and Alex are great and will spend the time with you to explain every aspect of the training and what you should expect. They answered all my questions and are very responsive to any additional questions you have after your dog goes home. They truly care and want to help your dog preform at its best.

Grant and Alex are amazing at what they do. It can be tough to part ways with your dog for 6 weeks but it was absolutely worth to my family. Our one year old, 80 pound, stubborn Lab was knocking over our small children and stealing food from their hands when we dropped him off. We can now call him and know with 100% certainty that he will stop what he is doing and come sit at our left side, waiting for the next command. If you are on the fence, do it, you won’t regret it.

We had a very positive experience with One Shot Retrievers. Alex worked with our dog for 6 weeks. She now comes to us when given a command, most of the time without having to use the e-collar. Before we took her she ignored us completely. As an owner, you have to be consistent and attempt to build on what has already been ingrained in your pet’s brain. She does try us but there are consequences and she knows that. Thank you Alex for teaching her and us how to be a better dog and us better parents!
