Hey Anna, We communicated with you a number of times via email and text from your initial inquiry in July to your registration for the course in September. I'll keep it brief, but wanted to be in communication. • You signed up for a 6 week class series. You did not attend the first two weeks. You are however, given access to a video library of resources and other supportive materials as soon as you register which means you can be learning at home before class, during class and after. • The first class you attended was week 3 of the series. Our classes build week to week as our curriculum is designed to allow for more complete learning for the dogs enrolled. When you did communicate and reach out it was weeks after the class had completed and it was the first you communicated about your displeasure with the course. The settle technique, which it sounds like made you uncomfortable, is a tried and true technique to help dogs relax when overly excited- this is covered in your online resources as well as in the video below for more context since we weren't able to troubleshoot this with you in person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrtlMmZlJvY&app=desktop • The class that you did attend had 3 other participants in it, and we'd never expect anyone to work any closer to another participant than they felt comfortable with. We are taking COVID precautions seriously and have limited attendance in our courses and would never force you or your dog to get closer to others than you felt comfortable. • You registered for the class weeks before the start date. Your registration date: August 3rd. Class Start date: September 19th. We would have been happy to discuss any of your pandemic concerns prior to the class start date or at any point, had you been in touch. • When you registered for your class you agreed to our terms, conditions and class policies - which include our no refund policy. Due to the high demand, it’s unfair to other clients to make exceptions to this, as you took the spot of someone on our waitlist. We can only take responsibility for things that we can control. We are here to coach owners that are in communication with us about their concerns, but without working with you for a complete program, nor having heard anything about these concerns until weeks after the class wrapped up, it's challenging for us to be helpful after the fact. We are following CDC and local guidelines, have bumped up our cleaning protocols, we’re limiting attendance, have access to hand sanitizer, hand washing stations, mask wearing indoors and social distancing. Everybody is doing the best that they can and operating within their comfort level during COVID-19, and if you aren't comfortable, you were always welcome to train at home via our online resources provided.
