Out of the Bark

The Out Of The Bark experience was more than I ever expected. Megha was phenomenal with my dog, Whisky. Her attention to detail and her love of dogs was amazing. I was a bit concerned since we had just rescued Whisky and she was exhibiting traits you would expect from a much younger puppy. From the first lesson, Megha described the training journey and what to expect in each phase. She was proactive in addressing my concerns and prompt to respond to all my questions. We are very pleased with the progress we’ve made with our 3-year old rescue, Peggy. We worked with Dan for six sessions on Peggy’s leash manners & dog reactivity. We were thrilled that by session #2 her leash pulling was practically nonexistent and by session #5 Peggy was working with another dog in close proximity. Dan is great at teaching you how to understand your dog, and meet them where they need in order to make real progress. We are planning to continue to work with Out of the Bark, as it’s an investment that is definitely paying off. We highly recommend Out of the Bark for your dog training needs.

I have been working with Dan in private sessions and have been attending their group classes. My experience has been extremely positive and I have seen great results with my reactive dog. Dan has been great working with him on both day to day skills and reactivity. He has better focus, leash manners, and his reactions to other dogs have drastically improved. We still have a ways to go but I am very happy with the progress and would highly recommend Dan to anyone looking for training.

Megha and Dan with Out of the Bark have been fabulous teachers and resources as we navigate owning, training, and caring for our puppy. Dan has saved our lives!!! Our dog peanut has been scared of a leash for 2 years and had a list of other behavioral issues! We were at a complete loss— until we found Dan at Out of the Bark!! We’ve been working with him for over 2 months and I can say now with confidence—we have a different dog!! He’s not aggressive, he’s getting on and off a leash and overall just a better dog!
